To drive there is already an odyssey... But it is worth the driving. The ace is cozy, nice a good service. The SANGRÍA is not what one expects, at all... It is a nice "all-fruit-you-can-toss-in" but GREAT... be careful, it hits your head, it is...GOOD. The menu seems pretty expensive, I must say... There are nice options for less... Nonetheless, it is worth to try... Specially at sunset.More

Off the beaten path but we'll worth the effort to get there. Beautiful view, good service, and very tasty food. We saw a sign on the way in that said their Sangría was voted best in CR and it was. Also, having lived in CR...for 12 years I have had beans provided as part of my meal more times than I can count. While I prefer pintos they are almost nowhere to be found in CR and you typically get black beans as I did here. However, they were the best beans I have ever had in CR by far. Go, you will be happy that you did.More

Fish should be moist, light, and flaky when cooked. Everything that we had was overcooked, drowned in sea of heavy fats, like cream, which is a BIG tell that the food won’t stand up on the merits of how it was prepared, or that there...is something that all that overcooking, and fat blanket, is covering up that I’d rather not think about. When you can’t even cook fish half as well as a third-rate American “Red Lobster” chain eatery in Iowa, especially when you’re on a coastline teeming with fresh catch, that is a bad moment. You can also tell a place by its sides. They were overcooked and equally unappealing. The guacamole, with the chips, tasted like it came out of a pre-made bag, and was decidedly a bit small for an appetizer portion. The drinks were good, and a bit less watery than the norm for the Manuel Antonio area tourist dives. They serve a lot of large parties. Three over 15 people, when we were there. The kitchen doesn’t seem up to the game, and it keeps the wait staff serving the bigger tip. Two-tops not getting as much of their love. Lots of charm. Dot for that. Dot for the servers, who, likewise, were excellent, even though they had to keep attending to the various banquets at the big tables. I even tossed in a dot for the flaming dessert, which we didn’t have, but we watched, which is big on showmanship, in that they have to move you off of the wood porch to a table on the tile floor to avoid setting the place on fire. Ronny has a cute place. We were referred there by folks who thought it was good eatin’. I see a lot of good reviews. Reviews are always subjective to the standards that you know as “good.” I live in South Florida. I’m a chef. I’ve eaten fish at some of the best places, both dives, and A-list. I know that it’s possible to cook fish well, because Gaia’s restaurant, across the road, does it nightly. Either find a way to cook fish that does some justice to serving its little life up to being eaten, or face the wrath of Poseidon, for turning fish into rubber chunks in a cream sauce. We’ll know when you hit A-game when you can put out a menu that doesn’t have to rely so much on the fats to make the seafood shine the way that it should.More

This is not only a place for great sunset views, which it is, but also offers two areas of outside seating, our favourite place, up a little path, but with unerring service. One night there was a very good guitarist adding to the twilight ambiance....We went twice, enjoying the food as much as any in four trips to Costa rica, and would like to have gone more, the julienned vegetables were perfect, as was the mahi-mahi, and that is probably the lowest priced menu item. paid plenty more elsewhere, not near as pleasing.More

We went there Saturday evening and it was busy but not packed. We were seated, given water and waited for the server again to get our first drink. Then he was gone until I asked another waiter if we could order. The original waiter came...back and took our order. We thought we better order another drink because we weren’t sure how long it would take along with bottle of wine with our meal. Appetizers and meal was delicious but had to ask for our wine and salt and pepper that was to go with our meal and we were half way thru when we asked another waiter, Gabriel to help us out. He was Amazing! We spoke to the manager and he was wonderful and offered to help us out with the bill and we said no but thank you. The original waiter was terrible and they put the tip on the bill and he deserved nothing. To bad.More

Our tour group visited for lunch. There are good views down to the ocean and there are some tables outside but we ate undercover in the main restaurant which has open sides. The food was good and service was friendly.
