Unfortunately their ceviche had too much onion in it, much more onion than fish. The flavors didn’t balance well. The fish was chopped up too small. All we had was ceviche and the wait time was nearly 45 minutes just to get our ceviche dish....I would not recommend themMore

Visited this restaurant last week and was blown away by the food, service and ambience. Ordered the ceviche and whole fish (catch of the day) while my wife had the fish tacos. Everything was great. We enjoyed the refreshing evening breeze and awesome decor. Strongly...recommended!!!!More

The food here is delicious and the sunset is amazing! Everything we had was good - the spicy margaritas, coconut shrimp curry, tuna tartar, and the lobster were all fantastic. The service is a bit slow but it’s nice to relax & enjoy the Pura...Vida lifestyle.More

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and an amazing sunset view. The restaurant is right on the beach and the staff was very friendly. We brought our own fish we caught that day to cook. It was great!

It took us around one hour and a half to get our food; they delivered to other tables first regardless that we arrived before them. The place was not packed at all and management not even care about our complaint. The food was good, but...after waiting that long I was expecting more than good... The view of the place is amazing though; the only good of getting to this place.More

Excellent location and great food. Waiters were all very courteous. Even called my hotel for me when I was ready to go back. Definitely stop here if in Mal Pais.

We went here after one of our favorite restraunts was closed for the night. Big menu that should satisfy all. Pricey menu but most choices that we made were really good food and good sized portions. It took about an hour for our food to...come, but there were a couple of large tables there ahead of us.More

If you want to get a drink at sunset or eat a wonderful meal while watching the sun go down then you must go! Try the watermelon rum drink! Great ambience and beach view!

We stayed in Mal Pais for 10 nights and ate dinner here most of those nights! Amazing menu. Everything we had was top notch. The chef is truly a master of his craft. everything was fresh, delicious and creative. the location right on the water...is unbelievable and the entire staff (especially Tomas and Santiago!) were just incredible. don't miss out on one of the best restaurants around.More

The menu is extensive (including everything from beef, chicken, and seafood to vegetarian) and everything we ordered (over 4 visits) was delicious, including 2 kinds of ceviche, nachos, paella, whole fish, langouste, tuna poke bowl, and a vegan dish. Not on the menu, but offered...two of the times we went, was whole langouste (spiny lobster), cooked in two different ways. Service is friendly and efficient. The outdoor seating is beautiful and worked even when - incredibly - it rained during our last visit. (Before then, we hadn't even noticed the subtle roofs over about half of the tables.) We stayed in Santa Teresa and this restaurant is 1 - 2 kms outside, in Mal Pais. (We walked the beach there twice, drove twice.) The setting is ideal. RIGHT beside the ocean, absolutely beautiful.More

Our favourite resto in Santa Teresa and Malpais. Great paella. Whole fish exquisite. Ask for lobster in garlic sauce, not on menu- amazing! Very good ceviche too, and tuna skewers with arabic spices. Our server Santiago is very conscientious. Variety of seating and table locations....Our favourite is table closest to beach (10 feet!)More

Our experience wasn’t good. We went for a dinner and the Casado was cold, the chicken was raw and our paella give us stomach problems. We recommend this place to chill out with a beer but no more than that. Overpriced and over valued in...this page.More

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the hotel my husband and I stayed so we went the first day in town and the food was amazing, super fresh everything that we had from the octopus to the lobster... plus the attention and the...great beach view. We loved it so much that we went the next day and same experience from the ceviche to the Casado de pescado were delicious. The feeling that we got was that we were eating homemade food...More
