We stayed in the adjacent hotel and ate breakfast here everyday. Enjoyed lovely fresh juice and hot coffee while watching the iguanas sun on the top of the rainforest trees. If you're looking for a place for breakfast with a great view and tasty food this is it. They also serve great tapas in the evening, the octopus was my... More

The atmosphere and the view/sunset were excellent. One of the best steak I ever had. The service was good. Was there from 5 to 8. Great place.

We made reservations for 5 p.m as to not miss the sunset. We didnt leave until close to 9 p.m. We were entertained for hours by marvelous cocktails and fab views. We had 5 tapas later in the evening which we shared. My favorites-octopus and tuna stack. Don't miss out, you'll love it.

Papaya Lounge is one of my favorites and well worth the many steps you have to climb to get there. Once up top you are overwehlmed with the amazing view of the ocean and the top notch decor. You leave all the dust behind and enter a world of Luxury , good food and people. Michael makes a killer mohito... More

A wonderful spot with great food and delicious drinks by the two Mikes. They don't serve lunch but have great breakfast and dinners.

We did not stay in he hotel, but we went for the sunset drinks and a dinner. Set on top of the hill, heavy climbing of lots if stairs, but once you are on the deck of the lounge / restaurant, you feel like being in the most beautiful place in the world. A beautiful open air lounge with comfortable... More

Just the best place to see the magical sunset over the Pacific ocean. Serves great cocktails, and very good tapas. A bit pricy.

If you want to witness the most incredible sunsets while sipping a cocktail this is the place to do it! The lounge is so funky yet comfortable. The service fantastic and the bocas (tapa type food) were excellent. This is my favorite sunset place and I recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Teresa/Mal Pais!

Stunning view, lovely food, wonderful staff. Highly recommended. We arrived very late to our fist night in Mal Pais and was still treated to a wonderful dinner combining local flavors and tradition with cosmopolitan sophistication. We came back a few days later to enjoy best ever coconut cocktails while watching the sun set...
