Spectacular view and a lovely setting! Can be very romantic as well :) If the manager is working the bar, ask for the "Mexican Mojito." Not on the menu, but the best drink I had during our entire stay in Costa Rica!! Breakfast: Gallo Pinto is great here! Also, the jugo de cas. Note: there isn't any signage by the... More

We stayed at moana lodge for 3 nights, papaya lounge is the hotel restaurant. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant, the ocean views are amazing (high climb to the restaurant but 100% worth it!). The frensh bartender makes delicious cocktails and does a great job! Happy hour is from 4 till 6 perfect for watching the sunset!... More

The Papaya Lounge located in the Hotel Moana was excellent. They offered full dinner or dinner Tapas style. We opted for the tapas and were not disappointed. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The view from this location on top of the hill was worth the climb. The drink menu was unique offering different flavors of mojitos and even... Our food was wonderful and the view is tremendous! Very much worth the many steps up the hill side to get there.

We had dinner here 2 evenings. A wonderful experience all around. Gorgeous setting (at least 60 stairs up to the restaurant, so maybe not for those who can't climb but worth the walk up for those who can). I had one of the best meals i have eaten in a very long time here. The tapas - and in particular... More

This was the restaurant at our hotel and we loved it. The plantain chips and guacamole were one of our favorite things to eat in Costa Rica. You have to walk up alot of stairs. But it was completely worth it. The view is so amazing, you just have to sit there and take it in. The prices were good... More

The view is certainly the high point when visiting this place. The food is pretty good as is the service. The space can be very hot if no breeze. They do have a few fans however that help out. The prices are a bit steep for what you get.
