Our concierge at the house recommended this restaurant and boy was he right!
Excellent food and atmosphere. We had a group of 10, surf lovers, turf lovers, and picky eaters....EVERYONE left raving about the food. Waitstaff was amazing too.
My wife and I met an Expat nearby the restaurant and he raved about La Ostra. Randall knew our likes and recommended the seafood platter. The lobster, corvina and shrimp dish was excellent. The service was spot-on. There were many local people attending and appreciating...the food and the value received. One platter was enough for us to share.More
They just close Jaco La Ostra #2. But the original one (at Playa Punta Leona, 14km/17min away) is the one I like. Plates are generous, always fresh and delicious. Johnny, the waitress that always take care of us (I think that probably we always look...for him), gives a great service. Service is quick (which I like). I recommend the Ceviche Tico and also the Corvina with Palmito sauce.More
We had a seafood platter for one, and could barely finish. Armando was an awesome server, brought us a sample of white marlin ceviche which was incredible! Even showed us video of his boss catching marlin.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Great food at decent prices. We got the two person mixed seafood: two whole lobsters, sea bass, red snapper, crabs, octopus, scallops plus two sides per person. It is so flavorful with garlic. Plus it has garlic butter I’d you...prefer to dip it in that. I would go back just for this dish! Also, one ordered the mixed seafood rice. Cooked perfectly with a lot of seafood mixed in-again flavorful. We also had a pitcher of mojitos-BEST MOJITO I’ve ever had! It was such a deep green color full of freshness! At the end, they gave us a special mixture to wash our hands down all the seafood. Fantastic service.More
