New York Style Pizza in Jaco Beach Costa Rica. We offer whole pizzas, pizza by the slice, calzones, ice cold beer on tap, and run weekly specials. We make our own dough and sauce in the shop from scratch, and use only the freshest and finest ingredients available. Great for a quick lunch, or sitting down with the family for dinner. Open late on Fridays and Saturdays. Check our Facebook/Instagram pages for weekly specials! We also offer delivery.

We visited because reviewers said they had the best pizza in Jaco. They were right. Only problem on our first visit was it took FOREVER to get the pizza we ordered. I gave up looking at the watch, but probably an hour and a half. But ... the waiter was very apologetic and gave us the pizza for free. We took it next door and ate at The Beer House. The pizza (BBQ chicken) was fantastic ... great crust. Could have been a terrible experience, but the customer service made us smile ... and brought us back a second time. The pizza is great. If you come hungry, get a slice (already prepared) while you wait for your custom pie.

We try and get our high quality product to the customer as fast as we possibly can, but sometimes our pizza is in very high demand and there might be a bit of a wait. Great convenient location for a family on vacation. The location is on the main drag of Jaco. That evening they had a special offer for $20.00USD. The offer included a LG 2 topping pizza, a order of garlic knots and a 2lt soda. The staff was courteous and the pizza was delicious. I would recommend The Pizza Shop in Jaco.

After trying a few other pizza joints we want to here. It was ok. Service was good and the complimentary garlic bit was nice but ours was a bit undercooked. The on tap craft beers was very good and reasonably priced. The pizza was a bit undercooked and doughy in places. To my discredit I didn’t mention this to the owner who was our waiter but am sure he would have appreciated the feedback

I ordered for delivery.
Paid almost $40,- for a pepperoni pizza, an order of wings and a bottle of gingerale.
The pizza was ok. The wings were not wings but big dry chicken pieces, served with their tasteless homemade ceasar dressing.
Very overpriced for the quality of the food.
Will not go there again.

Delicious food, quick, great price. This is a must stop in Jaco. This trip was just my daughter and I. We had a pepperoni pizza - medium gave us two meals for two people. And it was so good. We were given garlic knots as well on the house which was a super nice touch. We felt super comfortable and welcomed. Great experience and we will definitely be back

Staff was fun, pizza was excellent, and beer was fresh and cold and wonderful!!! I've always been a huge pizza fan, but wasn't sure I wanted to "waste" a Costa Rican lunch opportunity on pizza. But I'm really glad we tried it!! IMO, better than New York. Enjoy!!

I ate here twice on my 5 day visit. Open air seating right in the main road. They sell big slices if you’re interested in just grabbing a quick bite, which is really nice. One thing that struck me was the music playing. Great songs help create the great environment. I’ll be back to Jaco and definitely stop at this place again. Oh and one last thing, I talked to the owner and he is big into volunteering and supporting his local community and international needs. What a great place to support. Highly recommend!

Who knew that some of the best pizza could be found in Costa Rica?! The owner, Kevin, was so gracious and he and his staff made such delicious pizza that our group chose to have dinner here twice in our weeklong stay in Jacó. It was a great setting for our large group with ample seating - and fans throughout the place to keep us cool in the heat. I highly recommend The Hipster Craze although everything we tried was spectacular. Looking forward to stopping by on our next trip!

Stopped by for a casual dinner one night and had such a fun experience. One of the owners was our server and he was very friendly. He took the time to describe the cooking process and love they put into the food and it was super impressive. We ended up getting free garlic knots which was a great touch. We ordered the Pizza Shop 🍕 and all of the meats on top tasted great. The crust was thin and chewy and cooked very well. We also ordered the Meatball Stromboli and it was the ⭐️ of the show. The meatballs in this thing were possibly the best I’ve ever had. The dough was cooked all the way and there’s plenty of cheese inside. This thing is sooo good! Great IPA options on tap. We also sat in the window bar seats and watched the hustle & bustle of Jaco and it was quite entertaining.
This place would rank high in any city it was in! Great Work 🤝

Seriously, the best pizza we've had in ages. Spent 2 nights in Jaco while on a 10 day adventure in Costa Rica. The pizza (and craft beer) exceeds most pizza back home. The owner, Kevin, is over-the-top accommodating. Ok, disclosure, he's originally from Minnesota where we live and is a friend of our son's, who was traveling with us. But even if my son didn't know him, the pizza is fantastic, the location is central, and the service is outstanding. And the craft beer was great!!

Everything at the Pizza Shop was excellent; the homemade Ice Tea, the garlic knots, cheesy bread! Our group ordered a few different pizzas to share, the Hipster was my favorite but ALL were delicious and fresh. The Caesar Salad was excellent too; the staff were friendly, efficient and patient with our group of 9.

Three great pizzas were delivered to our apartment. Person on phone taking order was very helpful, understood English well. We were called when pizzas were “just out of oven!” So we knew they were headed our way. On-time and hot. Great experience and happy to have delivery pizza on an evening we were all tired.

Being a New Yorker, we are a bit of pizza snobs. We usually rate pizza out of town to our favorite ny pizza joint. While in Jaco with my family and friends, we ordered take out twice from the pizza shop. Not only was the delivery very quick, the pizza was very good (that is why we ordered 2 different times 😊).

Finally...delicious vegan pizza in Playa Jaco. So yummy! You can order their special creation, or a 'make your own', with either the house made marinara, BBQ, or red hot. Violife cheese. Completely satisfies the after-surf pizza craving. Fabulous beverages as well :)
Thanks to The Pizza Shop for giving vegans a wonderful new option in town!

I asked a local where she recommended we eat, this is where we landed. It was a home run. Food was great, my daughter is very picky and she devoured the food. The waitress was an absolute sweetheart and engaged my young daughter. The bill was laughable how little we all paid for what we got. We’re going back tonight!
