My family frequently eat breakfast here, one of our favorite spots for desayuno. It's not far from the beach, limited buffet style setup but they're so busy that the food is always fresh. Locals frequent this place for the quality, quantity and fair price. It's down a side road not far from the center of town, well worth finding your... More

I went to eat there because everyone l asked they recommended this place. But food was disgusting. All they have is CASADOS which is a plate that has rice, beans, plantains, salad or picadillo and a meat to chose it could be beef, pork, fish or chicken. Well, l ordered my with chicken and guess what my chicken was raw.... More

Enjoyed my typical CR breakfast this morning. Buffet style setup with a majority of customers locals. Good food and loved the local feel. Not a lot of English speaking folks here but challenge yourself to figure out the process. You'll be glad you checked it out.

We had lunch here. Food was quick, tasty, and inexpensive. The Cas (guava juice) was very refreshing! It is cafeteria style dining. You line up, pick your food, then pay. Lots of locals seem to eat there.

This place was just around the corner from where we were staying, decided to give it a try. Ate breakfast here twice. The food had good flavor and price were fairly inexpensive. Variety could have been a bit better but good overall.

Excellent value, while restaurant foods tend to be higher in Costa Rica (especially in Jaco), this place offers excellent value. While we were walking/shopping along the main street, we asked the shop keepers, where do they go to eat lunch. Every of them said "Rusticos". This said enough. But make sure to find the table under the fan, it tends... More

Jaco Rustico looks and feels like a local, not tourist restaurant. It is what Americans would call cafeteria-style - get in a line with tray, see what you like, and order it. It is not a serve-yourself buffet. Southerners like me would call it a "meat and three." In fact, that's exactly how I would describe it - a Costa... More

This is a must stop at local restaurant right off the beach service delicious authentic food. Lunch is a plate lunch containing rice, beans and 2 other sides I.e. Fish, chicken, fried plantains, coleslaw, etc. The price for the plate lunch is about $6.00 and is more than you can eat. Counter service is friendly although they don't speak English... More

If you want a typical Costa Rican lunch for cheap, this is where to go! $5 for a large delicious plate of food right by the beach. Some Spanish skills required.

I had read about this place before traveling to Costa Rica and saw that it was highly recommended for native food. We went for dinner on our first night in town and were so excited that we did. The food is excellent, very filling and very inexpensive. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. This is an open air restaurant.... More
