We had the best meal we've had in all of Central America here- what a great spot. The menu is full of fresh ingredients and great flavours. We ordered the coffee crusted steak which my friend thoroughly enjoyed and the Caribbean beef stew which was exquisite! For dessert, we orders the lava cake- absolutely divine and indulgent. We each had... More

From start to end, Wildginger is a perfect place to eat. Unique flavors, good variety of food for all ages, and a welcoming environment make this place our favorite in Tortuguero. This restaurant is kind of hidden, but its reputation makes it easy to find. I truly enjoyed the whole experience at Wildginger, therefore I undoubtedly recommend it.

We ended up at Wild Ginger because we ran out of cash and needed to eat somewhere that took cards...we're so glad we did though. The food is absolutely delicious. Burgers looked great and there were three of the four specials available. We had the Caribbean stew and the coffee steak, both of which are highly recommended! Dessert was a... More

Wild Ginger is tucked away at one end of Tortuguero village, a stones throw from the Caribbean Sea. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable (his wife is the chef!). The menu is simple but the flavours and food were really excellent. We had a variety of their burgers (beef and chicken) and also the fish - delicious!!

I went here after seeing good reviews online, great fresh food, I had a lovely falafel burger with homemade chips, always great to find a place offering nice veggie and vegan options and the food did not disappoint! The place is a few minutes walk away from the tiny centre of town but easily sign posted and easy to find,... More

The owner is really lovely, always engaging in conversation, however, there is an obvious sense that he is rushed off his feet. We tried to eat one night, but it was fully booked so we booked for the following night - we got a 10% discount because we made a reservation. The menu isn't too extensive to be honest; I... More

Travelled in "low" season. Owner was so friendly and offering to make things off the menu for our kids. But not necessary, since everything was delicious. Def. our favorite meal in Tortuguero.

Very focused menu under the premise "no rice & beans", but very delicious selection! No matter if you are a vegetarian or not you'll find something delicious! They only use fresh ingredients! Additionally they offer self made, sometimes a little alternative drinks, which as incredibly delicious as everything else! If you have the chance go there! And they also take... More

What an amazing meal at Wild Ginger. The owners are awesome people and the food is top quality. Fresh, well seasoned. Great batidos. One of our best meals in Tortuguero. Thanks!

We ate here on our last night in tortugero, as we read the reviews on TripAdvisor and wanted to give it a shot. We ordered a set of daiquiris and the sampler platter to get the night rolling. Service was excellent, and we felt welcome at the table. The Guacemole was tastefully spicy, and the hummus had a garlic tinge... More
