Dine on the terrace for a romantic atmosphere. Good plates but no lobster available (fresh proof). Chicken jerk was good. Good service and you can see lot of lezards in miss junies garden !

This was the only place we ate out at while we were in Tortuguero. The food was good and authentic Caribbean food. The woman who was working there was really friendly too.

Had dinner there 2 weeks ago as part of the Lindbland National Geographic expedition. We came in as large group of 24. The place is very simple with as I expected no A/C. This is normal for the area. The Caribbean chicken dish was fabulous and the servers very friendly.

This place has so much love, soul and history. Very original. I just came back after eating dinner here yesterday. I have litteraly eaten the best plates of my life. Spices so delicious, great variarity of options and you can feel the love they put while making the food. Eating it with music calypso in the background being served by... More

We did not stay here, we just came here for lunch. The food was acceptable, but far from our favorite meal in CR. The bathrooms were not clean. Getting to Miss Junies is a bit sketchy. You walk past some uncomfortable areas to arrive on her property. Once you are on site, it's fine, but I'm super glad that was... More

I had lunch there - I wanted to sit down and cool off from the heat, and have access to the gardens for birding. So I got what I wanted, plus lunch. Which was OK, but not special. There was only one other table - the place was practically deserted.

It was the inly place open and we did get a meal.I like spicey food but I do not like it all piled on the same plate. It was all just OK -you know that there was nothing memorable about the meal.

The place its self is beautiful. It's a plantation style building, lots of wood and it screams good quality in its architectural design. The gardens are amazing and the trees attracted both green macaws and the rainbow billed toucan - both of which we saw from the veranda which was fantastic. I really enjoyed sitting out on the veranda and... More

This restaurant is owned by the nice lady Miss Junies, and she is in charge of the kitchen, so be sure you´re going to have the best of the Caribbean style cuisine, fresh food, excellent "patacones" (fried green plantains) and "yuca", the sauce of my fish was great... Don´t miss it!

The hotel sent a guide to pick me up at the bus station. The rrom is clean and lovely, however the light was scarced both for power saving reasons and because a light bulb was broken. I told the staff but it was not foxed before I left. I had the good suprirse to find each day my household linen... More
