to be honest, it has been 4-5 years since i've visited costa rica and i couldnt forget the fish we had at lazlos place. so much travelling around the world but that place was by far the best. we were little bit sceptical when lazlo apprached us and invited us to his restaurant. a hungarian (or polish?) guy, recently moved... Every year we visit Costa Rica and we just love this place! It's a cool low key atmosphere with the freshest fish you will ever eat and freshest cocktails!. I was never into fish, but we walked by this restaurant and gave it a try! There is no menu, it's whatever the catch of the day is and OMG the... More

Lazlo goes fishing every day and serves todays catch every evening! Fresh fish grilled, Seared Tuna with a wasabi type dressing, mains served with grilled veggies and fries. So fresh and so tasty!

The Red Snapper at Lazlo's was the best fish we had on our whole three week's trip through Costa Rica. Great food, nice atmosphere and a shot of good rum after dinner with Robby. Lazlo's is worth the search!

With an appetite for fish we decided to give Lalo's catch of the day a try. The fish was good and fresh. Like everyone else we had red snapper and king fish. We like garlic but this was a bit to much. Whether you ate red snapper or king fish almost didn't matter. Because of the abundant garlic they almost... More

Catch of the Day is always fabulous! I love Lazlo and his charming son, Robi, who whips up fantastic and inspired drinks. A modest little place off the main road, do yourself a favor and stop here for dinner.

My buddy told me about this place, best fresh fish he's ever had and I'd have to agree, they open later in the day once they are done fishing, they opened at 6 pm when we went, we got the fresh tuna and split it... best fish I've ever had, grilled veggies and fries... super low key spot, check it... A dinner at Laszlo's is both entertaining and filling! We got a whole red snapper each, with fries and a few vegetables. Being Hungarian, Laszlo does not spare the salt, but it's quite tasty. Lots of fish, which probably explains the high price (8000 for the dinner, 3000 cocktails, 1500 imperial beer).

The best things are sometimes hidden right under your nose. After you will find the place (not to hard..), you will want to stay and even come back. The fish (red snapper) was perfect. The margarita was so good because it was made with lots of love. I know they have fishing trips- sounds like a fun adventure if you... More

Went here last night with my boyfriend. We had walked past in the day and seen the fish that Lazlo had just caught being prepared, so decided to go back for dinner. He only serves fish caught that day with chips and veg, there is no menu. It was delicious, best fish we've had in our two months of traveling... More
