This place is right on the beach and fairly centrally located in Puerto Viejo. We went there a couple of times for a drink to cool off and rest after walking around town. Then we went there for lunch. It sometime seemed to take longer...than it should to be noticed by staff. Once we were about to give up and leave and they weren't even that busy. However, we stayed and had a good lunch. It's fun to watch what's happening on the beach right in front of the place.More
It's nice that when you go to Lazy mon you get a great View you have lots of things to do from ping-pong to pool and dancing and it's also nice to sit there and eat the best hamburger I've had in quite a while....I had the barbecue bacon burger medium and I ordered the mozzarella cheese instead of American cheese which I do not like and it was awesome so if you haven't had a good hamburger in a awhile stop by lazy Mon and see what they got to offer you...it was pretty good to meMore
Big up to all the DJ’s that play here at night and for playing the hardcore dancehall music. I danced for hours. The music is so good that you can seriously dance by yourself and have the time of your life. The music is that...good. Dancehall lovers, get your butts over hear and whine yuh waiste to the riddims nonstop. If you don’t know what dancehall is, you will see what i mean. I have a techno DJ friend that came here and had no idea this music existed. Now he’s hooked. Shout out to the staff here at Lazy Mon for keeping the place clean daily and for booking the best DJ’s. The is a perfect example of what a “little Jamaica” or “Rasta town” should look like.More
Many places closed for lunch so we decided on this place for a quick lunch.
I had the fish n chips, chips well done. Wife had the trio dip of salsa hummus and guacamole with corn chips and pita bread.
Fish was OK, a bit...mushy, frozen? chips spot on. Wife's dip were good but the corn chips were very stale. Pita bread was fresh though.
Waiter was pleasant and friendly, forgot his name (Philly) but did a good job. He is why I gave 4 stars, otherwise it was just average.More
