I love Miss Edith's Restaurant. Every single little thing about it. I ate quite a few meals here and everything was just perfect! You have a great view of the sea, as well as a refreshing breeze... What more could you ask for? If you visit, DO NOT MISS THE FRIED PLANTAIN! (And grab some extra for snacks)

Not cheap but excellent jerk chicken even if portions were a bit on the small side. Nice seaside location.

Excellent Caribbean ambrosia! Well worth the wait - know that your dish is cooked to order, and we were made aware of the wait. Fantastic meal! Two different chicken dishes, one with green bananas and one with breadfruit, appetizer of patacones- all delicious. A ginger lime drink was ordered and prepare from scratch. Love the food :). I live its... More

Came back to this restaurant after a few years. It still is located at the end of the town, a few blocks from the center and entrance to the national park. Its setting is very rustic, plastic table cloths on the tables in a very run-down house. Service is extremely slow, even for local standards. But the food is very... More

The food was excellent and served hot and fresh. I recommend the guacamole with fresh chips. The service is a little slow.

Worth a visit for the food, it's true Caribbean authentic food. Food is pricey. The owner seems to resent customers not very welcoming and keen for you to leave as soon as you have eaten. It's a real shame as it could be wonderful. They obviously don't need the trade other customers came in and left before ordering due to... More

When Miss Edith is in the house you can be sure to have a great meal! We had red snapper and it was deeeelish. The cuisine is local ingredient based and spiced to perfection.

We were looking forward to this meal. It is our last night in Costa Rica and we wanted to try the famous Rondón which we had heard so much about. My wife and I love seafood, and I love spice. After asking around town, it seemed the only place that served Rondón was Miss Edith's so off we headed. Arrived,... More

Aside from rice& beans one can get a veg rondon and few types of veg curry here, which is really nice for a change from the standard veg casada that can feel quite repetitive. Prices are moderate (from 4000c) but portion sizes are huge

A very simple restaurant, without any fancty presentation. The food talks for itself. I used to go there with the family when living in Costa Rica. The restaurant had some modifications but nothing radical, more space. The service style still the same!
