When I arrive here in Costa Rica over 20 years ago a friend introduced me to Kiantis. Today it remains one of my favorites with good food and pretty good service and prices. If you want a bit of the local scene the restaurant is across the street from a football/soccer field which seems to always be busy and entertaining.

I ate there for dinner after work one evening. It's a very short taxi ride from the Marriott San Jose. The Corvina Kianti's (Sea Bass in a white wine cream sauce) was delicious.

Moderate prices, good atmosphere and close to our hotel! Excellent sea food dishes and desserts. 4 of us went and everyone enjoyed their meal.

I wanted to invite my family to eat somewhere quiet and peaceful, with good space between tables. It was a good meal, peaceful as I expected. It is a bit on the expensive side, but I still recommend it.

Incredible Food! This place was recommended by our concierge at the Marriott and we were so happy that we took her advice. We had the shrimp ceviche which was probably the best ceviche that we had in Cost Rica b/c it was all shrimp. But they should provide more fried tostones. We also had the Kianti's rice which was rice... More

I have been here a few times for lunch with a friend of mine. I normally get the fried fish platter with french fries and a salad. It is a bit skimpy as far as the portion is concerned but the food has always been tasty.

Last Sunday night I sent some clients there for dinner as they said they wanted to go to a local place with good food and service. I even called ahead to find out what time their kitchen closed which was at 8:30pm. They left Cariari area about 6:45pm for a $10 taxi ride ($20 round trip) to enjoy a lovely... More

We ordered the shrimp cerviche, chicken and rice, beef with shrimp and a coconut flan and a cafe negro.. We also ordered a passion fruit smoothie. Everything we ate there was soo tasty and delicious. We were very satisfied and it only cost us about $48 which is not bad for the amount of food we bought.
