The food is delicious, a bit pricy for "Typical Casados". Casados is a typical dish that includes, rice, beans, salad, a protein to choose from chicken, fish, pork or stake, and picadillo. The service was okay even though the place was packed. I think the place need a little bit of love, some minor remodelling including paint.

I live abt 1/2 mile down the hill from this restaurant, so often visit for meals with guests. The family owned restaurant is very accommodating to customized requests and downsizing or upsizing their platters. The food is typical; not great but also not bad and gives you a good sense of what a Tico eats. The "creek" down the middle... More

This place is a tourist trap for us naive ticos. It is a place full of Costa Rican memorabilia, however the dishes are generic and you may end up spending 20 dollars per dish, try your luck elsewhere.

The food was really good while the smoothies were impressive. The place is quite big so you don't need a reservation. There are some nice antiques room just for you to have a little walk once you are done with your meal. I am not giving it a 5 star rating as the antique objects were pretty dusty.

I recently visited my team in Costa Rica, and they wanted to bring me to dinner at an authentic CR place, not a chain or overly commercial place. They chose Anoranzas, and I was so glad they did. To be honest, if I didn't visit with locals, I might have been nervous about going here ... it is pretty far... More

A quite big restaurant located in the uphill part of Heredia is mostly characterized by its museum-like collection of old radios, sewing machines, typers etc. and a pretty nice view. It also has a large playground and huge tables for bigger gatherings.

I've lived in CR for 10 years and this is my favourite restaurant. Delicious authentic Tico food and an amazing view of San Jose and the airport in the distance. My kids love it too cause there are a million things to look at and also a playground for them to work up an appetite. Prices also quite reasonable.

Just went to this restaurant a couple days ago. I thought it was charming, with mosaic floors, plants everywhere, and lots of touches of "days gone by." Like old newspaper articles on the table, a "museum" with old stuff, like old typewriters, t.v.'s, etc. And then the service was great, the food was great, and the view was beautiful. The... More
