Simply said... The food and service are excellent! It was so good yesterday that we came back today and it didn't disappoint. Add to it, eating your breakfast right on the beach.... We are totally here for it!

A must do in Tamarindo

Simple menu with enough options to keep you coming back for more! Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed the food, drinks and view. Coffee was great - both hot and iced, as was the iced chai latte. So far we’ve had the fruit...of the day, chocoholic, churro, egg and bacon, and nuts about chocolate waffles. And we will be going back at least one more time before we are done our trip to try a couple more flavours. Highly recommend as a must do at least once when in Tamarindo!More

Breakfast on the Beach!

Our group of six came upon Waffle Monkey while walking the beach at Tamarindo. Their waffles were one of the best we have ever tasted; light yet flavorful. The fruit of the day included blueberries and bananas and was delicious. Our group also had the...Apple Waffle - spectacular! Coffee was fresh and smoothies were great. We came a second time but ran out of days to try everything on the menu. Tables on the beach capped our breakfast experience. Order at the window and a beeper tells you when to pick up your order. We purchased a WM coffee mug to remember the experience. Highly recommend Waffle Monkey!More

Breakfast on the Beach

Six of us were visiting Tamarindo, and stopped at the Waffle Monkey for a late breakfast on our first day. The waffles were fantastic and light, covered with tropical fruits and/or sweats. Coffee was excellent, both hot and iced, as were the smoothies. What could...be better than sitting on the beach, under the palm trees enjoying a great breakfast. We came back later in the week for our last breakfast before leaving and enjoyed it just as much, although the blender was broken. No worries, smoothies and iced coffees were hand delivered to our table. Yum. Great place for young and old!More

Favorite for breakfast

This was our favorite breakfast spot!! We tries several of the different waffles. All of them were.delicious. the service was very good.

The best!!

So good I had to leave another review after visiting 4 years later. Our family absolutely loves this place - they never disappoint. We even went home with a lot of the merch this time. The staff is amazing, we had large orders (sometimes complicated...with add-ons or changes) and they got it right every time. Great food, coffee, views and vibes. 10/10More

Must do in Tamarindo

Best food we had in Costa Rica. We tried a few different things here and everything we had was awesome. Great service, reasonable prices and amazing food. Must try when you are in Tamarindo

Great waffles and more just off the beach

Great waffles as well as coffee drinks and smoothies. My wife had a waffle with fresh coconut and bananas and although it was amazing, its quite a sugar rush unless you're used to eating that way. I had the salty pig and how can you...go wrong with a waffle covered in bacon. Next visit I'll probably split something or share with someone but I'm sure I'll try it again since it was delicious.More

Great Breakfast Option

Stopped in for breakfast before surfing lessons. Waffles came quickly, and they were delicious. The outside tables were in a charming courtyard and very clean. The gluten free waffle was a first in years, and it definitely hit the spot. Clean plate club for all!

Waffles on the beach, what a wonderful idea! The best waffle I have ever eaten and it was gluten free. Walk up to the stand to place your order and walk to one of the tables on the beach. Your food will be delivered to...your table. Waffle Monkey is a “must” when in Tamarindo!More

Must visit spot in Georgetown

This was a great find in Georgetown…..fluffy waffles, delicious coffee, and Chona was amazing to our boys. It was their 12th birthday and she came out with balloons. The food was incredible and Chona’s service was top notch. Highly recommend. Also, the marketing is really...cool.More

Great breakfast and more

We visit this place a few times each time we are on Tamarindo, this trip is no exception, been twice already and here for two more weeks!! The waffles are great and the topping choices are also great. What I found out this trip, is...they have an amazing chicken sandwich too!! I am also going to try their chicken and waffles this trip, but my favorite is the apple pie waffle. Try it out, you won't be disappointed, plus you can have breakfast on the beach!!More

Gluten free options! Eat on the beach. Reasonable price.

Gluten Free options! Baileys for your coffee. Champagne for your OJ. Fresh fruit! Something for everyone in our family, plus we got to eat in the beach.

Waffle lovers rejoice!

Great waffles, friendly staff, and a wonderful view from your table ON the beach. Great logo which made for a wonderful t-shirt souvenir. Light fluffy waffles melt in your mouth! My only regret is that we didn't have more mornings free for breakfast!!

The Best! A must stop!

I wish we had found this place earlier in our vacation. Absolutely delicious, so much fun for the kids (what kid doesn’t love waffles), a beautiful setting, and the kindest women working here. Thank you!!
