Had gaspacho which was delightfully presented but lacked flavor. Fried calamari I expected to come breaded but it came sauteed and not breaded. Was ok, but not what my tastebuds were expecting. Prices are high.

Great outdoor atmosphere with cool lighting. Easily walkable down the strip. Good food! Was a bit overpriced. Would recommend for a special dinner.

We were married at Pangas in April 2021. We initially discovered the venue via an Instagram search and based on many beautiful images of their restaurant and its surroundings we chose them. To our surprise it’s even more gorgeous in person. Beyond the stunning setting,...words cannot express how grateful we are for Elizabeth and Karina at Pangas Beach Club. They are the epitome of professional. While planning our wedding from the US all of our correspondence was via email and a Zoom call. They were always very responsive and detailed. They took every curve ball COVID-19 threw at us - including a year delay - and helped make our dream wedding come true. When we arrived for our rehearsal they both were prepared and gave us the highest confidence for the big day. Through planning and on the day of they coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors. Further, the food was delicious, portions generous, and the staff extremely attentive, kind, and really made us and the entire day feel extra special. We look forward to returning to Pangas to celebrate many anniversaries.More

Amazing food and views. I had wahoo fish carpaccio and grilled lobster. Yummy and generous portions. Service very efficient. There were quite a few flies but they brought me some methanol and it was better.

I’m actually surprised this place is not higher rated in best places to eat in Tamarindo. The place was great. Had a great vibe, beautiful sunset and plenty of space to spread out. My service was phenomenal- some of the best I’ve had in Costa...Rica, or anywhere really. I paid for it but if I’m paying for it, I want it to be good and it was. The grilled lobster was delicious and I didn’t even need the rice or veggies it came with - it was a large portion. I highly recommend this place for the service, the food, the ambiance, the location. It was great - I spent about $40, but honestly was worth it especially compared to so many mediocre places in town where I pay $15 and feel disappointed. I’d go back!More

This year my wife and I decided not to travel abroad for the Holy Week (Semana Santa). Instead we have spend the last days in beautiful Tamarindo, Guanacaste. We have had a blast visiting iconic beaches and great restaurants during the last 4 days. Today...we went to Pangas Restaurant for a late lunch (3pm) since we were at beach most of the day. Overall, the gastronomic experience was positive: -The cold avocado soup was very refreshing -We tried the mixed ceviche: shrimps and octopus were good but the fish was not that soft, I would say a bit “chewy”. -The grilled octupus was very good -We also had the grilled shrimp skewer...very tasty except for the eggplant that was too bitter. Unfortunately the service was not that good. Most of the staff was too busy getting ready for dinner and they were even cleaning all around us while we were eating. Our waiter was in a rush as well, not friendly and he was pushing the get our order fast. Actually he disappeared when we were done. We were not able to order a coffee or dessert. Honestly we did not feel welcomed at all and we believe that a restaurant with such a view and food should have an outstanding service! This restaurant was recommended by our host at the hotel but we believe there are many more friendly place around that you can visit in tamarindo...after all we are the Pura Vida people!More

WE were little bit disapointed as we were looking to have nice romantic evening... but restaurant is everything but ROMANTIC.... big bright lights, tables spread all over the place no table cloths, no candles.... the service was average but the food was prepared very well...and tasty. Pitty bc location on the beach could have been a lot more cozy and romantic if they just turn down the lights and pay little more attention to the ambiance.More

We dined here for lunch as a large party of 6 and found the view extraordinary. Service was a bit slow but professional and attentive. Five of us made a great choice and had fish or seafood and all were delighted. I made a poor...choice and ordered a Ribeye steak. The steak turned out to be delicious but I essentially cooked it myself over a 500 degree heated rock which was delivered with the steak. I really enjoyed the steak but not the heat. From a value perspective we fed 6, 5 of whom had a drink, paid the added in tip and VAT and got out the door at ~$25 a head.More

We ate at Pangas for lunch. We enjoyed a tuna, avocado tower salad and shrimp. Pangas is located on a very quiet end of the beach. Staff was very pleasant.
