.Cafe Tico is many things: it's a confortable place to sit and enjoy a rich cup of coffee on our shaded patio, or take it to go.Cafe Tico is also a gift shop, we offer a selection of gurmet coffee from small coffee farmers, honeys, jams and hot sauce made in Costa Rica. We home made bread and pastries, all the milk yogurt , butter and cheese that we use are from local farmers.

Cafe Tico has not only the best coffee in Tamarindo, it has the best banana and papaya bread! This place is great, I had all my breakfast there. I tried the tipico, bacon breakfast sandwich and vegan burrito. They all were great, huge portions with...a exquisite local flavor, One morning I met the owner because besides cooking, she also likes to have an opinion about the food and the service. She seems to care a lot about this place and you can tell!! I will definitely come back next time.More

The Sunday Brunch was good...as advertised at $12 each. 2 people =$24. Then we added an orange juice with a little champagne in a champagne glass. We got a whopping bill of FORTY dollars before tip!! Then we were told their cost was 7,000 colonies...each that's $24.00 for two!! Give me a break!!! Really?? I advise people not go thereMore

Excellent service & food. Iced coffee was my favorite thus far in Tamarindo. For the sandwich and two iced coffees (got one to go!) was about 7500 colones, or $14USD. Atmosphere is a quiet outdoor bistro. Close to the main strip, but off the beaten...path. Will definitely return before I leave.More

We went to Cafe Tico two mornings in a row for vegan burritos and large coffee! The food was great and the staff was lovely. We had the pleasure of meeting the brand new owner on the second morning and being her first customer! We...will definitely be back next time we are in Tamarindo!More

Absolutely love this place! Run by a great, friendly family staff. They treat us so well. All the coffee and tea drinks are handcrafted. Food is amazing, and so much value too! We’ve eaten Gallo Pinto literally all over town. No one else’s comes close....Will miss Cafe Tico...until next year!More

Plenty of vegetarian options in addition to staff that was very accommodating to any substitutions (they subbed out bacon for avocado in my breakfast burrito). My breakfast burrito was tasty and a good value. My partner had the croissant sandwich (house-made croissant) and said it...was very good and filling.More

A group of us dropped into Cafe Tico on one of our last days in Tamarindo - wish we had gone sooner! This little spot tucked off the street (in front of a great used book store) serves up a mean cup of coffee and...great options for breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely a recommended breakfast spot if you find yourself in Tamarindo.More

Unsure as we stayed in a condo close to this cafe. JW is far outside the other side of Tamarindo. If they have a shuttle to Tamarindo every place is in walking distance once you're there
