great service, great food, great staff. Sandwiches to die for and they last for day trips out (without getting soggy).

Went for lunch, had two very tasty sandwich/wraps. The place was packed, but server accommodated us very quickly. Relatively inexpensive but not cheap, for good food.

This is a good breakfast spot. Our favorite is the breakfast sandwiches and the coffee is good too. Good value and really good quality. It can get busy though!

Grabbed coffees and a bite to eat here a couple of times. Nothing too fancy but the staff were very friendly, and the food was quite good. The burrito I had was bested by Green Papaya; however, they have different target markets with Cafe Tico coming in at about half the price, so no surprises there! Definitely recommended, especially if... More

We never got to sample the coffee/food here when we were in Tamarindo last year. Hoping to try a few different places this year, "Cafe Tico" was at the top of our list when we arrived a week ago. "Cafe Tico" is a tiny little cafe that offers a whole bunch of options for snacks, coffee, breakfast and lunch. It's... More

Walk the distance, get off the strip and much better places you shall find. This is great for coffee and breakfast. It is small and quaint and not many tables but a true tico restaurant with fresh ingredients and a great little place. Get there early or wait around but it is worth the wait!

Every morning while my wife still slept I would go to Cafe Tico and grab us a couple lattes to start our day. The coffee and service were both very good. Thanks Cafe Tico for supplying an excellent source of caffeine to get me and my wife on track each morning.
