We ordered takeout from here on our first night, and sat for dinner another night. They really shine with their nigiri sushi! The rice is perfectly cooked, and the fish has a delicious vinegar glaze on it. We recommend the eel and salmon nigiri the...most! The rolls were ok- their special rolls are a must try.
The ambiance in the restaurant is very fun. It’s fully open air, and we made a reservation. We were seated in an outdoor private booth- felt very chic!More
Okay, first. This would be SUCH a good place to take someone on a date.
Next. We went with friends who have lived here for close to two years now and have tried many sushi places around Tamarindo - Bamboo Sushi Club is the sushi...place they took us to, first!
Nicole served us with professionalism, kindness, and deep knowledge of what Bamboo Sushi Club offers. With her expertise and the overall taste of the foods and drinks, we were blown away. My husband hardly ever orders anything other than water, but even he wanted his own glass of the frozen passionfruit mojito. Though my first drink was $13.50, it was worth every penny: gin and cucumber never tasted so good! The "spicy" options were prepared with just enough kick, and the plantains on top of some of the rolls (like the Tico Roll) made for a memorable dining memory. I am looking forward to going there again, especially with my family from Chicago (who we often enjoyed bottomless sushi boats with while living there). I'm so thrilled that this restaurant exists and that it's easily accessible within Tamarindo. Pura vida!!More
LOVE this restaurant! Caught yellowfin tuna and Mahi on a charter and they prepared sushi for us in so many different ways. Service is wonderful- Tatiana could not do enough for us to be sure we were happy! The ambience is great too
Don’t miss...this little gem !!More
The food came out very fast and everything was very fresh. I would recommend the poke bowl with fresh ahi! They can make it gluten free upon request. Healthy sized portion that perfectly filled me up after a LONG day of surfing and sunshine. The...waitress was super friendly and kind as well and answered all of our questions about the menu!More
The atmosphere is great and the service was good. I had some good things and very bad things. The bamboo soup was delicious. We also ordered three rolls, 1 with tuna and 2 with tempura shrimp. The roll with tuna was very good and the...tuna was fresh. I can’t say the same for the 2 rolls with tempura shrimp. The shrimp had to have been cooked the day before. Cold, hard, chewy... they were very bad. Maybe this was a one-off; just sharing my experience.More
The sushi and service by Mao was exceptional. The atmosphere was calming and going late afternoon lended to a cooler dining experience. This was highly recommended by many we spoke to and lived up to its reputation.
