My family and I went to La Baula where we got Pizza and Drinks. Margaritas, mixed drinks, pizza were all good. One thing to note is that this restaurant is strictly pizza (and salad) so I would not recommend if you are not in the...mood for pizza. I am giving 3 out of 5 stars because we felt the service could have been smore attentive. Cups were often left empty and we were rarely checked in on. Pizza wasn't anything spectacular but came in big portions and would definitely satisfy a hungry crowd.More

We were late after a tour to the Rincon Del Vieja so La Baula pizzeria was open. The salad was fresh but My son called it Pizza place salad. The pizza dough is very thin crisp almost like a thin crispy bread. The toppings were...very good and the tomato sauce was very good. We will come back again, for a quick late light pizza.More

We found this place in our last night in Tamarindo and wanted to get away from the main road. As mentioned in all the other reviews the setting in fantastic which lends itself to a great vibe. We were quickly seated and we ordered from...the simple menu, it’s a pizzeria it sells pizzas, great choices though. While we were waiting a couple of lads came in to sing some songs, basically buskers, and they were brilliant, entertaining the whole restaurant for the 4 or 5 songs they did before passing the hat around and moving on. A large group of regulars arrived as we were waiting and a few other tables around us were occupied and we seem to get forgotten about, food being served to tables who arrived after us. After managing to flag a waitress down they apologised and got us some more drinks but it still took an age for the pizza to arrive, place was very busy at the time and to be honest we were quite happy chatting and enjoying the wine/beer. We needed to give them another nudge but the food arrived soon after. Pizzas were delicious and and very filling, thin and crispy base and packed with flavour. When we asked for our bill they had not charged us for most of our drinks which we had while waiting. In summary, great location and setting, great food, good service but be careful when it’s very busy. I would go again if in the area.More

Excellent atmosphere, service and food, it is the best restaurant for eating pizza at Tamarindo. You can apply a half and half option to extend your experience.

We visited twice in 10 days. It’s just that good if you like thin crust pizza like I do. First time we had the prosciutto and arugula pizza (cuz I’m addicted to arugula). Second time we tried their specialty with salami. Both were delicious but...I preferred the arugula one :Less toppings so easier to taste the crust. One person could probably easily eat their own pizza, and most tables around us had one pizza per person. We shared a pizza both times and were plenty full with room for a coffee. 2nd time we were there with friends, and one of them ordered her own smaller size pizza, like a kids’ size or personal pizza. A great Italian pizza restaurant, and I will definitely go there again in April when I go back to visit. Also, nice ambiance on a quiet street. No cars whizzing by as you’re enjoying dinner.More

Best pizza in Tamarindo and possibly in all of Costa Rica. Delicious thin crust and lots of options in the menu. Very friendly and fast service. We ate at the restaurant (instead of takeout), which has a very cozy atmosphere.

I think La Baula has become known as the "go-to" spot for a great pizza in Tamarindo. It's THAT good. We visited last week and the food is just as we remembered - delicious crust, fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection. Wait staff were friendly...and attentive to our needs. There are a variety of pizza offerings to suit everyone. For families visiting with young children, there is an enclosed playground on the property to occupy them while adults chat and enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is lively but pleasant all the same.More

If you want a good, thin crust pizza at a reasonable price in a family friendly atmosphere this is the place. There is a large selection of pizza varieties. The adjacent play area is suitable for the entertainment of small children while their parents finish...dinner.More

You cannot call for delivery. However, most restaurants in Tamarindo (including La Baula) are on ticotogo. Just find them on ticotogo, place your order on line, and the pizza will be delivered plus a $5.00 delivery charge.
