The food I ordered was good, and they were very accommodating of my son's food preferences. My only criticism, which is fairly minor, is that the food took a long time to come. However, it did taste very fresh and was exactly what we ordered.

Family lunch in June. Only people in restaurant. Good fish and calamari, average fajiitas and burger.

Half cooked fish with bones and lemon water disguised as an "alcoholic drink" sums up my horrible experience at this restaurant. When I told the servers that the fish was not cooked, I was given a look like I was supposed to eat it all. The price is definitely not warranted for the quality of service and food.

I spent 7 nights in Tamarindo and ate here 4 times. Fabulous people, delicious food. The owner is often present and applies her own personal, perfectionist, touch and charm. Live music many nights of the week, but subtle, to create ambiance without interfering. A must-visit location in Costa Rica.

Was not impressed with the meal for the money they charged. Service was good but meal was expensive and mediocre. Went for a family dinner with 13 people and came away disappointed with the quality of the meal and the size of the bill.

Went here on a family vacation (all adults). chose this based on good reviews for our final dinner in Tamarindo. Food was sub par and ridiculously over priced. Served their red wine cold, dessert tasted like it was out of a box, pasta sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Not worth the money at all, so many better... More

I'm writing this while still in the restaurant. My family of thirteen and I had spent a phenomenal 10 day vacation in Tamarindo, and had planned on a beautiful final dinner to cap off our time in Costa Rica. However, this was far from what we actually got. Let me preface this by stating that all 13 of us are... More

First, the food is soooooooo good! I ate there twice in one day because I had such a great experience. At lunch I had the Mahi Mahi and for dinner I had a tenderloin steak. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and so are the restrooms. Everything looks impeccable! I had to force myself... More

This was the best meal we had in our entire 9 days in Costa Rica! The service was outstanding; the waiter was very attentive to us, and seemed to arrive exactly when we needed him without asking. He was very friendly. We ordered one of the tapas specials - it consisted of coconut shrimp, mussels in a cream sauce, mahi... More

Description
This setting could just as well be in LA or Paris; beautiful teak terracing, all handmade wood furnishing and the shining cobber from the bar and the lamps give that warmth and good feeling we all enjoy. The wait staff takes pride in being members of Team Coconut for years. It is their personalized attention that permits them to remember each client and their likings. Nowhere else will you feel as Welcome and Well attended as here. Every day the same words are repeated "The Client is the King". At El Coconut you will also find a truly professional kitchen where the main ingredients are "Heart & Soul". Who could be able to resist an Avocado filled with sauteed Shrimps, A Tropical Lobster prepared with fresh pineapple, raisins and ginger or not to forget the Surf & Turf even big enough to satisfy the hungriest surfer. Where else in Costa Rica would you find a temperate wine cellar of almost 1000 bottles? Nowhere that we know of. Our wine selection goes from the easy drinking Latin American table wines to finer selections such as Chateau Neuf du Pape, Penfold 389 and many more. Our seating capacity is more than 100. We are used to and truly enjoy arranging your special events; be that "The President's Club", incentive dinners, rehearsal dinners or weddings. Let us make your night that special night.
