Super high quality of food, all products are nicely prepared and presented. When there with my host family (locals) and they were super happy of their choice! The ceviche is just delicious and super fresh. Recommended by tourist and Ticos !

This place has gone under new management and is even better than before. They’ve changed the menu offering unique sauces and accompaniments to their dishes. They are locally sourcing the food and the flavors are incredible!! Wont disappoint..... Highly recommend!! My new favorite restaurant in...Samara!More

I usually am of the if-you-can’t-say-something-nice persuasion but in this case, I felt compelled to criticize because there is still good potential here to correct issues. I came here just about a year ago and the food, ambience, and service were top notch. In fact,...as I was touring all of Costa Rica at the time, Sámara was at the top of the list to return for an extended stay and my visit at this restaurant last year clinched it. The menu has changed and with it the prices jumped. Okay, prices do that. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, what I thought was a safe bet with a side salad and sautéed potatoes (they were out of rice - how can that be?). The fish portion was small, tough and tasteless. I ordered it in a white wine sauce, but it seemed that the sauce served was completely different. There was no salad dressing either, on the salad or on the side, though the salad presentation was nice. Bread was served with olive oil but normally (maybe just what I’m used to) it is served with a plate to dip it. When I asked the waitress, she said you should pour the olive oil on each bread slice. But she kindly relented and brought me a plate anyway. The waitress/service was still very nice as well as the ambience, but come on - the food is still the most important thing. With all the other good restaurants in Sámara, I have a hard time justifying a return here especially at the higher prices.More

We arrived in the off season so not too many choices for dinner. Stopped at Oh Lala as it seemed busier than other places, was actually one big group who seemed to know the owner well. I had the chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend had...the spaghetti bolognese, both were ok, I had a margarita and my bf had a beer, was around $50 Canadian for all, a tad over priced for what we had. Service was good, location not bad.More

Good evening your bill is 38.47 Canadian dolard exactly, 20% less than advertised. I do not find that expensive. there is much more expensive on samara. good end of stay in costa rica

We were so happy that we stopped at this restaurant to eat, even though it was very quiet the lovely Argentinean waiter was so friendly and welcoming and gave us great recommendations on what to order. We both had different meals that were delicious and...the portions very big. The price was very reasonable for what we had and the excellent customer service is not something you get all the time.More

May I suggest you to take cooking class before opening a restaurant... your food is so bad, better in any soda around. It’s a real job to cook not a hobbie specially when you charge 7000crc for a burger. I’m pretty sure in a couple...of month you won’t be there any more... or I hope. A simple, well priced, but cracking meal. All served by a very enthusastic off beat Argintinian. Only regret was not going back for a second night.

A group of 5 of us had a really good meal here on a Monday night. We liked the location off the main street, facing a green. The passion fruit daiquiris we had to start were excellent. Some of us had pizzas but I had...6 jumbo prawns with ginger sauce, rice and salad, which was delicious. The Argentinian waiter was helpful and attentive and we all had a good meal and a good time.More

We ate here on our final night in Samara and the food was great. I had the pizza and my boyfriend had the special that night - the pizza was really good, but the special was average. The service was fantastic and our server was...really interesting to speak to. We had a lovely night but the restaurant is a little overpriced for what you get. Nice option off the main strip of Samara.More

This used to be one of our "go to" places in Samara. Not any more. Our last 2 meals here were very sub-par. My carnivore crepe was very bland and filled mostly with potatoes, and my other meal was almost inedible, including the yucca fries...which would have required a saw to cut. Portion sizes have also shrunk. I ate most of it because I was so hungry, but I did complain. They agreed it was bad and offered me a "free" brownee, which was also bad. They just don't seem to care about quality any more. And to top it off, they seem to have friends who regularly like to stop right in front of the restaurant to socialize and smoke. We won't be back.More
