First night was $10.00 BBQ night. We enjoyed the food so much we returned the next night. Wilbur was funny and happy and the conversation so entertaining we went back yet again. In fact we ended up eating supper here 5 of our 6 nights in the area. We even let Wilbur select our dishes for us one night! The... More

I truly have no idea if the food is good or not. We never ate at the restaurant due to the wait staff. He acted like we were doing him a favor by sitting down. Bad vibe, so we left.

Thank you for your honest review. We were aware we were having an issue with one of our wait staff. It is unfortunate he was not as friendly as we have seen him in previous years. You were not the only one to notice. We had terminated this employee even before you sent this review. And that was after several... More

My husband and I ate at 7 Restaurant on a Friday night and again on a Sunday night in February for their famous barbecue. Friday my husband ordered the beef tenderloin (which was a bit tough) and I ordered the half chicken (which was the best chicken I think I've ever tasted)! Sunday my husband ordered a plate of 4... Thanks for the honest review. We are glad you enjoyed your time here. Wilber strives to make each guest feel at home. It sounds like you enjoyed the BBQ except for the tenderloin. We get our meats through a purveyor who ships it in from Nicaragua. The cattle here in Guanacaste are usually very tough. Sometimes there may be a... More

Thank you for the review, Jena. We are glad you stopped in. Our Mahi is always fresh. Sometimes our freshest is tuna or pargo, depending on what gets brought in by the fishermen. Stop by when you visit again. More

We unwittingly booked our trip to Costa Rica over the Super Bowl. We watched it here with Wilber, Alejandro, and the rest of the Seven crew (apparently draining their supply of Pilsen). We came here several times during our trip and were always greeted and had friendly service. The Argentinian BBQ was amazing and the beer was cold!

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the Super Bowl at our restaurant. This one we could watch to the end even if we are not Brady fans. Haha. We pride ourselves in the excellent BBQ. And our beer is always cold. Come visit us again sometime. More

Great pizza--Regina or Marguerite--take home or eat in. Alejandro will mix you up your favourite beverage. Pool table, live music, tv, hammocks. You can pick up most things next door at Wil-Mart as well.

My friend's and I had a great dinner here tonight. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Wilbur, and knew from the beginning it would be a great night. Friday night is barbeque and live music night, and we thoroughly enjoyed both. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the beer was cold. It was a little hard for us... More

Description
Seven Cave Bar and Grill is located in our complex of a restaurant, bar, night club, and grocery store. Central to the Palm Beach Estates gated community at the south end of the town, we have everything you need to enjoy your stay.Friday nights with the BBQ and Cave Bar live music events, Seven provides free boat rides from the estuary tour marina. Reservations are recommended for the Friday and Sunday BBQ. Lunch and dinner served every day. With a varied menu of Cheeseburgers, Pasta, Pizza, Salads and Fresh Seafood, there is something for every palette and budget. Sourcing the menu from fresh caught fish and local vegetables and meats, our chef makes every dish healthy and delicious. Prices start at $6 for soups or sandwiches. $10 BBQ and large pizza on Sundays. The Friday live music BBQ from 6:00 to 9:00 is a local favorite with the Argentine Grill and wood grilled Surf and Turf. Then the party moves from the outdoor dining to the Seven Cave Bar at 9:00 pm for a late night of live bands, laser lights and dancing. No cover. Free boat rides from and back to Tamarind throughout the night. Meet the boat at the entrance to Tamarind at the Estuary Tour Marina. Ask any taxi for a ride or directions. You can make it a day of quiet beach time and lunch at the open air restaurant. From Tamarind it is a short boat ride (open 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, $1 per passenger) across the estuary and then a five minute walk along the estuary trail or on the secluded national park beach set aside for turtle nesting. It is a great day trip to get away from the hustle of Tamarind. Exit the beach at one of the public entrances at marker 29 or 25. We are located one block in at marker 27 between the only other palm beach restaurants. If you are in need of staples from the grocery, will*mart (named after Wilbert, the manager) is a mini super with mega super selection and prices. The same fresh fruit and vegetables at the restaurant are available here to cook at home. Our motto is “If we don’t have it, we can get, or you don’t need it.” For a unique gift or souvenir, pick up a t-shirt. Then you can tell your friends and the world. “I partied at Seven Cave Bar”I our effort to create an Eco Resort, we have changed over our lighting system to totally LED lights and installed solar panels by our resident solar and energy efficiency expert. With these improvements we have cut our power consumption in half. We are demonstrating that you can live responsibly and have fun at the same time.Weather you drive, walk, boat or surf and Seven Cave Bar, you will be rewarded with great food and entertainment provided by a friendly, bilingual staff.
