We had the mixed grill for 2 everything was cooked perfectly on the grill. Very high quality steaks sausage pork chop chicken skin on and bone in backed potatoe steak fries and salad topped off with a banana split. The service was great. The outdoor...patio is awesome. Put it on your must go list when here.More

This is a small restaurant that offers very good food and excellent service. It has free wifi for diners. It is open for supper, but not lunch.

My girlfriend and I pulled up to the restaurant around noon starving, having kayaked for 3 hours without breakfast. There was nobody else eating there so we were a bit hesitant, but the menu was so good and the service so friendly that we stuck...with it. Boy are we glad we did. We started with a fresh plate of fruit, including papaya they grow just feet away from the restaurant. That, mango, pineapple, and the best banana I've ever had made for a tasty appetizer. For our mains, my girlfriend got the shrimp wrap, which was the best shrimp we had on our trip. I went for comfort food - cheeseburger - and it crushed any burger I've ever had in the US or elsewhere. Beautiful slice of ham on top (called bacon on the menu), cooked to perfection. The patty was so fresh and obviously cultivated not too far away in CR. Both dishes served with fries cooked to perfection. Picture attached. 8 days in CR and 25 meals later, this stands as our absolute favorite of the trip. A must visit if you are in Playa Grande!More

So clean and such great music. The Russian owner was very enthusiastic and kept wanting to sell us more beer. I discovered that the main reason for this was that the kitchen was somewhat understaffed, and struggling with the new items on the menu. The...kitchen eventually produced our appetizer, some great flavours, but quite small portions. More offers of beer followed , but eventually our main course showed up. What had been shown on the menu as a baguette , turned out to be a couple of slices of Bimbo bread ( Central America's Wonderbread). The excuse was that there were no baguettes available on Sunday. The flavours were great, but the disappointment of the bread underpinning couldn't salvage it. The flavours allow this to score an "average" , the euro trance although unusual for Costa Rica allowed the waiting time to pass more easily- but 40 minutes is a long wait, especially when there was only one other couple in the restaurant . All I can say is that if the menu still shows "Test" on the top, you may want to move along down the road . But the flavours may be worth the wait.More

We had great expectations to have a very nice Christmas Day dinner at The Park restaurant. The reviews were great. Ok. We ordered for starters Cesar salad, mixed salad and calamari. Cesar salad's dressing was not at all the usual one- instead it was -...and I am guessing made from peanuts, sweet and the type of lettuce used was wrong. All sauces used in this restaurant are sweet. Our seabass was with stawberry-cheese-cake sauce.... No kidding!!! The tuna was overcooked and served almost cold with passion fruit sauce. This was interesting, again sweet. We got into the restaurant at 6:15pm. The small glasses of water were served and then we waited till exactly 7 pm for the salad and another 45 minutes for the main dish. At that time there were more people working in the kitchen and at the bar than guests to be served. The place is newly build, nice and clean. The people working are friendly and trying very hard but still don't know how to run the business. The meals are over complicated, trying to be different .... But not necessary good.More

I was lucky enough as I stay at Park hotel and can enjoy Park restaurant from mornings till late nights. Delicious breakfast, delightful drinks full of fresh fruits (I especially love combination of passion fruit)... Well - with this hot weather you are not very...active for lunch, but dinner you should not compromise! Hose, chief cook of the restaurant, can make your evening unforgettable... Starting with special appetizer tunachos - very yammi, then sushi and of course couple of dajkiries, that are the best way to relax and enjoy! Atmosphere is very friendly, staff is polite and always welcoming!More

We're Peruvian and Mexican, respectively, so have had our share of ceviche - the Ceviche Oriental is the best we've ever had. We ate by the pool w/ howler monkeys overhead. The specialty drink is refreshing and you shouldn't leave without one. The service was...excellent as well.More

We went here each day we were in Playa Grande. The food was amazing! We met Juan and Jonathon here. They made us an indian curry dish which was out of this world. Since we are Indian, we didn't expect it to be that good....Every dish was extremely flavorful and spicy. I told them I was bringing my husband for this birthday and they surprised us and treated us to dessert and coffee at the end. It was really the best restaurant we've been to in Costa Rica.More

We passed by this place on our way to a local attraction. The sign outside read "Coldest Beer in Town," and on our way back we were hot and thirsty, so we stopped in and sat at the ouside bar. The beer was ICE COLD,...and the people inside were warm and friendly. We had great conversation with the servers, who spoke fluent English and made it easy for us to converse. Highly recommend stopping by when you're in the area.More
