I had two great dinners here, and one "ok" breakfast. First off, if you've done some looking around at restaurants in Playa Grand you've probably noticed already that the price point is high. This restaurant is no exception. For breakfast, I felt the price was a little too high for what it was- a fairly small and simple breakfast in... More

Mediocre and overpriced breakfast. After 7 great breakfasts in Costa Rica, we stroke out here. $7 yogurt and granola, $8 supermarket pancakes mix and very tiny portions.

Stopped here for dinner during a thunderstorm. The cocktails were good and food was wonderful. We had the special buffalo pizza which was more a bbq pizza than (america) buffalo pizza. We shared 2 entrees and had leftovers for the next day. Nice place and good food.

Small party (20) booked two months in advance and the kitchen was totally understaffed. Food was good but service from the kitchen was horrible! Some had already left before final entree was served!

Really a very good hotel just 5 or 6 rooms, a good pool quiet place Breakfast in the morning is good, you have choice even if sometimes you have to "fight" with birds which come and steal jam pot on your table. Folklore cost rician !!!!

We stayed in a VRBO jsut down the beach from this place. We enjoyed Cantarana during happy hour on quite a few evenings. Happy hour is 2 for 1 drinks. I don't think we ate any of the food here, but the waitress was very friendly and helpful. She even made my son a special drink and remembered what he... More

My wife Barb and I were living in the area for the winter so we did not go out very often. Talking to many others around they suggested Cantarana as one of their top choices. We know the local fish truck would drop by on a weekly basis so we decided to treat our selves to a night out. The... More

The restaurant is very nice and on second floor of the hotel. Our waitress was super nice. My friend and I are both lactose intolerant and we said this while ordering. I ordered the bread sticks and asked if there was dairy and she said no. When I got the plate the red sauce it came with had cheese. My... More

Great food! We ordered our food to go. It was sooo good! The moonlight pasta is beyond tasty! Also ordered the chicken strips and fries for our kids and the surf and turf. The chicken was perfect for our kids, hand breaded and very fresh. Highly recommended 😊I've added some pictures of the menu, you won't be disappointed!!

A very nice place to stay, a little private and quiet ! Lioba handle a lot of our reservations to do different things and eat at various places. Her knowledge made our stay very enjoyable! Would definitely stay there again!
