Owners Frankie and Stephanie Becker source local and sustainable ingredients in a Farm to Table concept to deliver simple yet exquisite dishes that display depth and layers of flavor. My husband and I have visited here on numerous occasions. You don't need to own a property, but you do need to pay an upfront fee which is very reasonable and includes food and beverages up to a certain amount.We often visit when we have friends.Its a great day out poolside.The views are incredible and not to be missed.The staff and service is always top notch and there are numerous plug sockets to charge devices and free internet.The food is always incredible and it's our go to place when we have family or friends to entertain.The infinity pool can get crowded and theres only so many sun loungers and no shade which cleverly draws you to the restaurant or bar where there is restbit from the beating down sun.A must visit if you have friends or family over

What a great place...wish we had tried it sooner! We went here on our last day and thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food, and gorgeous views. The food was excellent (loved the sea bass) and drinks were freshly made. People are commenting on the cost, however, we did not find it to be any more than the other places we tried. In fact we found the prices quite comparable but the quality of food and ambiance exceeded our expectations.

You have to go here if you are anywhere near Flamingo. The sunset was spectacular and the food was delicious. We took some local friends with us and the menu was in English. Our waiter translated the whole menu for them, laughing and joking with them and making them feel so welcome. He also took lots of pictures for us without complaint. Frankie, the owner and chef and Stephanie, his wife come to our table and made sure everything was perfect. We had the sea bass, cerviche, coconut chicken and stuffed dates. We had key lime pie for desert. Everything was so good. The key lime pie was the best Ihave ever had and I get it everywhere!

I was told about this restaurant from family that has been there. It is off the main road so finding it by accident isn't possible. I am so glad I was told to go here. My wife and another couple joined me for a meal we will not soon forget. Frankie, the owner/chef prepared an amazing treat. We ordered the "tasting" menu, a little more expensive but so worth it. It was 6 courses of some of the best food I have ever eaten. His use of fresh local ingredients and the knowledge to mix and match them to bring out the flavor of every dish. I could not recommend it more. Amazing.

This was by far the best meal we had during our 10 days in Costa Rica! The owners and staff welcomed us like family and treated us like gold. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and are very personable, eager to share their passion for great food. It was about a 20 min (cheap) uber from Tamarindo and 100% worth it. We tried pretty much all of the appetizers and couldn't even decide what we liked most because everything was so delicious. The same goes for entrees- we all tried eachother's and there was not a bad choice! Cocktails were also perfect- tasty but not too "sugary". The view from the restaurant is above and beyond anything we expected. They also have a bar and infinity pool you can watch the sunset from, and have showers for after if you need. We will be telling anyone we know going to Costa Rica to go to this restaurant, meet the amazing people, and eat the amazing food. Will also be on our "must visit"list when we return to Costa Rica!

We had a dinner of a lifetime at sunset at Gracia. The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. It was the perfect evening. Our kids swam in the pool while we ate delicious appetizers and when our food was ready they were done swimming. Our daughter is gluten free and they were very accommodating to her allergy. We watched a beautiful sunset into the Ocean. I highly recommend this place.

I sure feel conflicted writing this review. I’ve dined in a thousand restaurants, on a hundred shores, in over 60 countries. Let me start with the good.
The service is lovely, the view is nice, and the food is good. Our waiters were very knowledgeable pleasant and attentive. The view comes from the local gated upscale mar vista neighborhood and looks over reserva conchal with a cozy infiniti pool. We enjoyed our flavorful tapas. They were tastefully seasoned and especially enjoyed the Cajun shrimp.
Although we stayed two weeks just a few minutes away, we decided to never come back. There were just 3 tables all night and the chef visiting the other 2, we didn’t even get a simple hello. I learned a lot, for example, he moved from San Diego 5 years ago, he was excited the couple next to us had just bought land in Mar vista, and also the great detail he brought their meals and described it to them - we definitely felt unwelcome without even a quick visit despite a small showing.
We have learned from traveling the world in the nicest 3 star Michelins to the quaintest shacks, excellent food isn’t as hard to find as you think. Beautiful views are also plentiful,because how lucky are we to live on such an amazing planet! But, making a family feel special? That’s forever.
We do not recommend this restaurant to travelers passing through not living in Mar Vista. Spend your time, money, and memories elsewhere. Costa Rica is an incredible country with welcoming people. You can do much, much, better.

We recently visited Gracia at the recommendation of an ex-pat living in Guanacaste.
Gracia is located in the Mar Vista sub-division and you must check in at the gate to go the restaurant. Just tell the gate attendant you are going to Gracia.
This is a wonderful place to go and watch the sunset. The have a lovely infinity pool with a swim up bar if you want to add that to your experience. We sat at the bar and of course, took a million photos of the incredible sunset.
But beyond the sunset, the beverages and food were quite good. They have a creative cocktail menu with high quality ingredients and liquor. The cocktails were quite on par with quality craft cocktail bars in the US. (The blackberry/sage lemonade was my favorite). They also had a nice wine list. The food consists of both a tapas and full entrée menu. We tried some of both and they were quite good. Our favorites were the crispy cauliflower, lobster cake and spicy ahi tuna entrée. I am not a huge dessert fan, but the key lime pie was the best I have ever had anywhere!
Perhaps our favorite part was the great service. Our waitress, Elsa, was outstanding.
The entire experience was so great that we went back a second time during our stay.

Wow, if you want a fabulous place to visit for supper with an out of this world view, go to Gracie Mar Vista. We went in the afternoon and swam in the infinity pool which is free if you spend $20. We ate 9 tapas for the 4 of us and they were all delicious!! The bartenders at the swim up bar joked about Dad wearing a Coco Loco hat( another fabulous restaurant in Playa Flamingo) saying he would not be allowed in if he wore that hat. The restaurant is accessible with a golf cart from neighboring Playa Flamingo, Potrero, Brassalito.

We have eaten there 4 or 5 times in November and December. Whether it has been a big party of 10 or just the two of us, the meal and service have always been great. You definitely want to get there early and enjoy the sunset with a cocktail or glass of wine.
And for dinner, everything on the menu is great. From the tapas menu, the Ahi Bites are terrific and so are the Ceviche, the Lobster Cake, and the Tuna Tataki. But my personal favorite dish is from the Entree menu and is the Garlic Shrimp Pasta.
The owners, bartenders and servers are all super friendly and helpful. This is our favorite restaurant in the area.

Our first stop for dinner in the Flamingo/Brasilito/Tamarindo area. This place set the bar very high! Fantastic views of the ocean sunset and a wonderful warm and cozy atmosphere. The place has an amazing infinity pool and swim up bar. The food was simply fantastic, great flavor pairings and well seasoned for depth. We started with some very fresh salads, the eggplant choice was superb. For entrees we had the mahi scampi, beef tenderloin, lobster bisque (one of the best I’ve had) and tasty shrimp appetizer. The steak was one of the best I’ve had in CR. Others in our group also exclaimed that the food was on an exceptional quality level even by Stateside standards. The chef was very friendly and was passionate about his food. Service was polite and inviting while accessible. Thank you for a great start to our trip!

The view, the food and the service was perfect. We got there in time to eat our meal while looking out at the sunset over the infinity pool, the water and the hills in the distance. It was breathtaking! we had crispy cauliflower, seabass piccata/mango, blacken tuna, chicken marsala, and seared mahi scampi. the bananas foster was so good for dessert. Our server, Fernando Luis was great.

The location was awesome! We had a reservation for sunset and it was totally worth it. The tables are located right next to the pool so a bit distracting with the kids running around; however, the view was spectacular.
The bar drinks were some of the best for the end of our week and half in country trip.
The tapas were pretty good would recommend order two or three since the portions are based on single serving.
The main meals were average at best and took almost an hour from order to table side.
We we’re not able to get out of the restaurant for over five hours! (Not intentional).
The service was awful and once any type of order was placed it was a minimum of 30 minutes before someone returned.
We were trying to celebrate a birthday and had emailed in advance spoke to the waiter and even the manager upon arrival and it was still a struggle. I believe the owner was onsite during our visit and was more interested in engaging a single table vice looking out for the entire restaurant.
Sadly the view was awesome but the service was terrible and the food average at best.

Hola Buenas! First off, I'd like to apologize for not visiting your table if I was there when you and your party dined! Our service usually is very friendly, fun and on point and either Stephanie (wife and co-owner) or myself can fill in the gaps if the service needs it. Being extraordinarily busy is no excuse for a restaurant and our staff should have had the support needed to ensure that service was top quality as we truly believe that each and every guest deserve treatment that matches the awesome view. We cook our dishes from scratch, using the best ingredients, local and organic selections and use creative flavor profiles that usually harness rave reviews. It is a disappointment that you did not get to enjoy the dishes prepared at their best, as they should be for each and every table, and you noting this will be a team focus for us to continue to strive to be better. It is a business, but I do take it personal when guests visiting do not get to experience Gracia at its finest! Thank you for your time and feedback, and safe travels. Hello,
As a connoisseur of many cultural foods and high end restaurants world wide, this restaurant would rate low. Our reasoning:
We tried to book on their website 3x and when we didn’t receive a confirmation I called, no reservation was found. The employee took our name down 2x with the spelling of our name 2x, he spoke perfect English. When we arrived the host acted as if he found our reservation then asked us to sit at the bar while we waited, said he would seat us soon, 30 minutes later we asked about our table, then we asked another 2x when we realized he wasn’t coming to seat us. He finally came over after 45 minutes and told us he was sorry it would probably be another hour. We chose not to stay and found a very nice restaurant Tarreza Lounge in Protrero., my review for this restaurant was much higher, see my review.

Prepare your palate for some great adventures! Mine isn't particularly sophisticated but I know great food when I taste it. The chef offers a range of culinary delights that will amuse and satisfy everyone's appetite.
Gracia Mar Vista is an appealing venue situated in the upscale Mar Vista. The restaurant is well appointed and staffed with very professional and friendly people. All told, you should not miss the opportunity to dine here.
