I'm sure this place would be even better if we were staying there, but we stopped in to enjoy a couple afternoon drinks and snacks. The views were great, the pool bar looked amazing and we enjoyed our short visit.

I went here twice and there was hardly anyone there. I felt I was alone at the bar, I guess it's more happening at night. The staff was super nice and welcoming and they wash your hands before you eat. I bought some of there sauce to bring back home.

Really good, friendly service. Food was outstanding. Unlike many places there at Playa Flamingo, they made us feel welcome, and treated us with class and style.

We ate here a couple of diff times . Very easy to go to , great bar, the service is a little slow, and the english is not as fluent as other areas, but the bar and wait staff were friendly and always were able to understand what we wanted. The food is amazing here. Stuffed oyster shrimp and the... More

Seriously, monkeys hanging everywhere. Lots and lots of little stuffed ones........ The food was fine but we thought a bit pricey for the bar.

The Monkey Bar is nice spot in Playa Flamingo for a social drink or a fine dinner. The service is slow but typical of most of Costa Rica, it is pleasant and and competent. The food we had was fabulous. The price was a bit high, so was the quality.

We stopped by the Monkey Bar, and they have a tradition for Superbowl. The staff was inviting and very courteous. We stopped in for a quick drink, and bought their Superbowl hats and T-shirts, only $22 for both. For Superbowl, you can bring in a stuffed monkey, and they give you a free drink. The monkeys are hanging up in... More

Food was average at best and beers were warm. The service was horrible, drinks ordered but never arrived and I could understand this if the restaurant was busy but there was a total of 7 people there (4 of which were our group). There was a staff meeting taking place be the bar and when we asked for our check... More

Located in a hotel at the top of a steep hill, the Monkey Bar is worth the trek. The view overlooking Flamingo beach is amazing. The drinks are great, although a little pricey, and the bartender, Diego, was cool. You can even have a dip in the hotel pool, and since it's always warm, this was a much appreciated oasis.
