Dropped in for lunch today. A warm welcome, cold beers, and drinks. All locals eating here which is always a good sign. We at chicken quesadilla's they were very good with the super hot sauce. I would recommend the place for a more authentic experience.

Ate lunch here after a day at the beach and it did not disappoint. Great typical cuisine for a very reasonable price.

The whole snapper is fabulous. Ate here 2 times during our visit. Love the jar of pickled, spicy vegetables that they bring to the table with the meal. Good service, genuinely friendly.

I tried several sodas in Coco and this was by far the best in town. Their batidos (kinda like smoothies) were off the charts, the Sopa de Pollo was amazing, like your grandma made it amazing, the whole Red Snapper was bananas and the service was fantastic. Love this place will definitely come back.

Jardin Tropical had fantastic food. I had the Fried Red Snapper, but the other folks in my group each tried something different. We all loved our meals. The smoothies are fantastic, too. Kiwi Mango, Blackberry, Strawberry, and Orange were the flavors we tried. Seriously, when you are new to a town and want to find the best place to eat,... More

We just enjoyed discovering the local typical meals at this restaurant in Playa del Coco. Costa Rican cuisine is not much elaborated but here the food was fresh and the service with friendly. Pura vida for us!

The best soda we had in Costa Rica. Food is cheap, plentiful and tasty. The smoothies were the best we ever had, including much higher priced places. Service is attentively and very friendly the Tico-way. An authentic way to eat in Tourist-crowded Coco.

If you're looking for local, this is the best, the waiter at the door smiling inviting guests in.....always with a smile and a handshake. The cassado are a perfect tico meal, nice variety and quantity. Will be returning again.

This is a great place to come and eat authentic gallo pinto and your steps from the beach. The food is freshly prepared and the coffee here is delicious.

A nondescript restaurant near the beach. We dropped in for lunch on our way from the beach and tried the mixed plate of local food: fish, rice, beans, and salad, topped off with a fresh smoothie. The food was delicious and plentiful. A must if you want a taste of local cuisine in a friendly environment.
