We waited with great anticipation for the resto to open ( closed Mondays and Tuesday’s) as everyone we talked to highly recommended the brisket and the ribs. We went early and had great service and drinks and finally the time came to order food. I...ordered the brisket, my wife ordered the jerk chicken and our friends ordered the ribs. My sides of Mac and cheese and slaw were good, but my brisket consisted of two small strips that were over cooked and very dry. My friend’s ribs were undercooked and tough. We obviously caught them on a bad day based on all the reviews I’ve read. I rarely give a bad review and always try to support and promote great local restaurants, but the price we paid for the quality and size of our servings was definitely not up to par or what we expected.More

A little food truck/ restaurant/ patio tucked away on a side street. It’s all about the burgers here. Staff are incredible. Best service we received during our whole stay. Fun atmosphere.

We absolutely LOVE this place! Don't let the location fool you - it is WELL worth it! You must have the ribs - dinosaur size and so tender! The burger is amazing as well. Went for dinner. This place came highly recommended by our neighbours in Costa Rica. My wife had the chicken wings, and they allowed her to have as many dipping sauces on the side. I had the smoked brisket. You must try their Mojito's. They are...awesome!!! Both our meals were very delicious. The presentation was also good. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning again on our next visit.More

Buzzed Monkey is no longer in Hermosa. They are located between Las Palmas and the new police station - in the parking lot behind Best Burger. I really liked this place in Hermosa - gave them the best review possible!!! But, the new location, quality...of food and service was disappointing this year. I'm sure COVID and the loss of their cook played a major factor. I will be back next year.More

Excellent ribs, but the portion is huge, bring your appetite or be prepared to take food home. All the sides we had were also very good. Can't say enough about this gem of a place.

It's nice to grab a slice of true bbq from Georgia during our visit. We will definitely come back. It's also near close to the beach that you could eat a lot and walk it off while taking a stroll on the beach.

Exelente! This restaurant is one of the best I’ve been to in the area! The owner, Chris is super friendly and he certainly knows his Georgia BBQ! IVannia makes the world’s greatest Long Island Ice teas & Michelle is an exceptional server! Jorge Chef is...an excellent chef and makes amazing brisket, pulled pork, chicken, whatever. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to get to eat here during their soft-open at the end of 2020. We sampled as much of the menu as we could and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the BBQ, certainly not what we expected...to find in Costa Rica and easily comparable to the best sit down BBQ joints in the states. Best of all though was how friendly and helpful the waitstaff were and the personal attention by the owners. We'll definitely be paying Buzzed Monkey a visit on our return trip!More

amazing bbq and awesome sides that would hold their own in any mississippi delta city along with other southern favorites- and generous portions too. convenient location that is perfect place to stop in or order takeaway.

Highly recommend this place. Fantastic burgers and real USDA BBQ, owned and operated by some good Georgia boys. We ate at almost every restaurant in the area and this is definitely at the top of the list. Do not do what we did and wait...until the last day of your trip to go!More
