This place is highly regarded in travel books for good reason. The food was very tasty and the décor is really cool - old style building in Liberia...It reminds me of some places we saw in Nicaragua ...Chef was nice and so was staff.

Before catching our flight out of Liberia, my family stopped in to check out this neat little gem! When we arrived, they told us that they were not open for breakfast. I guess they could see the sadness in our eyes! So he offered to make us coffee (which they would normally have) and then make us fresh crepes. We... More

We went because the place was recommended by Lonely Planet. When we arrived, it was closed so we returned the next day. We had a salad and some seafood, however, we thought it was quite avarage, nothing special.

The reviews are right! Compared to other places to eat in Liberia, it really should be 10 stars. We ate there 3 times during our week stay. The girls serving the food are so sweet and they would remember how we like our food and drinks. My husband said the iced cappucino (with yummy ice cream) was the best he... More

These people were so cool. They were actually closed for Siesta, we came in and they offered to make us food anyway, not in that let's nickel and dime the tourist way, but genuine. We also led the Victorian feel, and architecture. The coffee was perfect. Thanks so much!!

Perhaps i chose the wrong dish (a typical dish from Costa Rica), but i thought that it was very normal. However this was disguised by the very good service (both the chef and the waitresses are really kind). But its somehow a bit of a surprise that in a city as hot as this one there's no AC. And also... More

I was so surprised by Cafe Liberia. Off the Main Street in Liberia, in a beautiful, charming old house is the most delicious food I have ever had in Liberia. I had a fresh drink with orange, carrot and ginger along with delicious ceviche. I indulged and cheesecake for dessert which was pretty yummy. My friends and I had were... More

We went for lunch and easily found Cafe Liberia. The street where this cafe is located reminded me a little of Antiqua but we were in Costa Rica! Our waitress was friendly and we were seated on a garden area. I ordered ceviche and my wife ordered fajitas and my son had a hamburger. The food came quickly and Wes... More

Very nice restaurant. Great atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. The food I had and my friend had was really good and did not take the chief long to prepare. I will go back to eat again.

Cafe Liberia is located on an old traditional house right in the heart of the town. Service is fast and the waitresses are well trained. Food was meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients. A nice experience. The menu is kind of traditional, but food does not disappoint.
