What an absolutely beautiful café. Gorgeous, high ceilings, elegant interior, airy atmosphere. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this beautiful café, service was perfection, food was beautifully presented, fresh, absolutely delicious. If you are in Liberia, make sure you stop here.

Nice atmosphere, wonderful service, delish food, A little out of the way & hidden but happy to have stumbled upon. The baked goods looked absolutely delicious and offered keto friendly and vegan options. Great cafe to enjoy a nice breakfast and read a book.

Loved that everything at this restaurant was completely gluten/wheat free. What a treat for someone with gluten intolerance! I had the huevos rancheros- yum! My son had the quesadilla and said it was great! Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Will definitely come back here next time we’re flying in/out of Liberia airport. The restaurant is about 10-12 min away by car from the airport, in Liberia town.

Food's decent, not amazing but good enough - though the prices are bonkers. But the killer was the coffee. I like brewed coffee more than espresso, and was interested to see a half dozen options for how you want your coffee made, from several pour-over options to french press to aeropress. Not entirely necessary, but kind of a neat idea. I was a little surprised at the price, which comes out to just about 4 usd. I ordered french press because I wanted a big cup. Almost 30 minutes later (!!!) they bring out an almost empty french press, and when I poured, it was the size of an espresso shot. You have got to be kidding - the espresso is half the price but paying more gets you less?

Like the British, costa rica a take coffee time seriously. This place is the best place for the 3pm coffee break. With great dishes to choose from, they serve breakfast lunch and dinner as well. The pastries are delicious, loved it so much I ordered a cake from them. They have gluten-free and vegan options that are delicious as well. Love the gluten free brownies. Settled in a historic home is also a great opportunity for pics. ❤️

We were looking for a place to stop for breakfast and found this gem. In a historic building with great atmosphere (outdoor and indoor seating). The deserts and pastries and specialty coffee were on point. The breakfast was awesome and reasonably priced. On top of that the service was exceptional and the wait staff was super attentive. Thanks for a great experience!! We will be back.

I was in Liberia after an early morning airport drop off and needed breakfast before the stores opened . This place had high ratings and it did not disappoint. It is in the old part of the city set amongst traditional houses. The building is historic and airy with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional. The cafe Americano and Huevis Rancheros were both outstanding. I will definitely go back with friends.

This place is just such a wonderful find in Liberia. We come and come back again for the great food ,the kind, caring and wonderful staff. Oh , and the coffee...It's just outstanding. The European style service is incredible and just attentive enough. Staff won't bother you, they will respect your time spent savoring the moment. We don't get out much at home because of the few good options that truly understand our situation in our city. So, this is an amazing cafe at any measure. AND it just happens to be GF too. Thanks so much for everything. We can't wait to come back to the best place in Liberia. Really the old world building and historic charm alone ...are worth a visit. DOnt miss Cafe Posada Real. We just fell in love again. C&A Canada

Wow. This was my favorite lunch spot on our visit. The desserts are tremendous. So good we came back for a night cap the following evening. The chai tea is the best in Northern CR. No contest.

In no-frills Liberia, just a block from the main square, is this magnificent old colonial house - well preserved and now serving as a top class restaurant. The menu is extensive but emphasises local produce and styles There are tables inside and out - where the stables were - and the colonial style can be seen all over. Be sure to see the ceiling in the front room. We had a shared plate of dips - fantastic guacamole, crispy tortillas - followed by a fish casada (traditional plate) and one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. With 2 mojitos and 2 beers we paid $65 including 15% service - well deserved by helpful friendly staff.. Meals in Costa Rica are not cheap but this one was good value by any standard.
