We ate one night at Los Tucanes and had Adam as our waiter. The menu offered great variety and what was not on the menu, they knew how to accommodate. My friend asked for vegan options and was not disappointed. She was served a delicious, grilled vegetable platter and I had the salmon. We were even served a complimentary dessert... More

Please call for a reservation and an early one is better than later. God is very good and prices are within reason. A calm atmosphere with live music makes this a great place for dinner. Service is excellent.

We ate here two nights when we stayed at the Tabacon resort. The menu has a variety of dishes. We ordered the fish special and ribeye steak. Both were very good. The prices are very reasonable and they can accomdate large groups. There is live music nightly. There salads are creative and tasty. They serve chef special treat as appetizers... More

We stayed at the resort for three nights. Breakfast each morning, included with the room, was lovely. Fresh ingredients, well prepared. The baked goods left a little to be desired, but apart from that, the food and setting was lovely. Get a seat by the waterfall/swimming pool. Dinner, with lovely food again, was shockingly expensive, by almost any standard. By... More

The venue was relatively quiet, staff, superb, cuisine exemplified finesse, romantic outdoor ambiance, pricey and well worth every colonne

Just had dinner here and the experience was so underwhelming that I feel like I need to post a review. Started off by trying to get a reservation for my fiancé and myself at 8pm on a Sunday night. When I called the only time they could get us in was 7:30. Fine, we had to rush a bit to... More

My husband and I purchased a day pass for the thermal spa and decided to treat ourselves at Los Tucanes on the resort. (The resorts high end a la carte restaurant). We both had the crab cakes for apps & steak for our mains. Within a few hours we were both violently ill, throwing up, severe cramps and diarrhea. Our... More

The food here is about the best offered at Tabacon, other than the pricey bungalow dinner. That's not saying a lot, though. It was good food, not great, and for a fine dining experience, the prices were reasonable (Tabacon prices their food the same at all their restaurants and bars, so you may as well dress up and get the... This was a lovely setting with amazing food. We are foodies from New Orleans, and while prices were comparable to fine dining in NOLA, it was well worth the price. We had amazing meals. We ate here all 3 nights of our stay at Tabacon and could have continued! Enjoy.

Costa Rica can be slim on variety of foods. We loved this place. Service was good and the food was delicious. Eat the ribs.
