If you are going to the irazu volcano in the morning, Mi tierra is the perfect restaurant to taste flavours of costa rica. for nationals maybe you can find something different and cheaper, because you already know this flavour from your mother kitchen for sure.

We have visited this place several times with friends that come to visit Costa Rica. This restaurant is located on the way to the Irazu Volcano. This place offers great Costa Rican authentic food, and also they have typical music. The food is good and the prices are Ok. I recommend this place if you want to try Costa Rican... More

If you plan to visit the place be aware that they do not accept American Express. The service was OK and the dishes were really good and tasting. Recommended the House Sirloin called "Lomito Mi Tierra" with melted cheese. Everything was good but my concern is more for visitors and tourists that only carry American Express card in their wallet;... More

WE stopped here on our way back from Irazu Volcano. Restaurant is very big but broken up into separate areas. Food was very good and reasonably priced.

We went to the volcano Irazu to have a great Sunday break. On the way back my friend says we will stop at the restaurant to have lunch. I was not disappointed, food was absolutely fabulous and the service was great. The waiter was always making sure we were doing well also we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for... More

My future sister in-law brought me to this restaurant one afternoon for lunch. She has lived in Cartago her entire life and thought this would be a great place to bring me for some authentic local cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is what I would call "Country Rustic" and the overall ambiance is laid back and casual. The food... More

i went with my foreign friend to show her some traditional chorreadas and costa rican coffee. got bad service since we arrived there from 3 different waiters. comfortable place and good enough ambience but not much of a view. food and price was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. there are way better places.

You will find here almost all the options to enjoy local food: distinct kind of meat, pork and chicken, fried plantains, avocado, cheese, beverages. Service at the table is ok, good. Environment is nice, the typical costarican sense.

It is a popular place at cartago. The weekends is full, so you have to be patient. The food is typical from Costa Rica. It has good quality but it is a little bit expensive.
