My future sister in-law brought me to this restaurant one afternoon for lunch. She has lived in Cartago her entire life and thought this would be a great place to bring me for some authentic local cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is what I would call "Country Rustic" and the overall ambiance is laid back and casual. The food... More

i went with my foreign friend to show her some traditional chorreadas and costa rican coffee. got bad service since we arrived there from 3 different waiters. comfortable place and good enough ambience but not much of a view. food and price was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. there are way better places.

You will find here almost all the options to enjoy local food: distinct kind of meat, pork and chicken, fried plantains, avocado, cheese, beverages. Service at the table is ok, good. Environment is nice, the typical costarican sense.

It is a popular place at cartago. The weekends is full, so you have to be patient. The food is typical from Costa Rica. It has good quality but it is a little bit expensive.

It is near of lot of tourist places, but it does not have right to charge expensive food and be average food, I can take a better lunch inside any little restaurant and will cost half and it would be the same. Do not take advantage of the tourism low the prices.

I'm a local but hadn't visited the Irazu Volcano for about 20 years, me and my GF decided to go pay a visit and were looking for a place to get a good meal, we saw the recommendation here so we decided to go here and it was really good. The food/price is good because the portions are big.

As we were driving down the main road from Irazu Volcano, our friend suggested we stop at this restaurant for lunch as it offers some of the best Costa Rican food around. Arriving just after 2PM, we were seated promptly and given menus. My wife and I ordered Pechuga Mi Tierra, a delightful chicken filet covered in local cheese accompanied... More

Very nice place to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or to have a coffee time. Lot of options in the menu: fish, chicken, meat. Costa Rican traditional dishes such as: Chi-fri-jo; Tortilla, Picadillo, Arracache and many more. If you want the typical soup "Olla de Carne", you will have to go only on Wednesday. If you want "Marimba" you should go Sundays... More

Love it! They were really nice and friendly, my boyfriend an I were so hungry and we were impressed how fast the food was served, and this did not decrease the quality of the food, it was fantastic. We ate beef with bacon and corn, love it, the only thing I didn't like was the noise because we sat on... More
