Nice shop, nice people but the chocolate was bland and waxy tasting. Had the milk chocolate and left it at the hotel which for me says a lot!.

With a name such as "Chocolateria" in a coutry that grows cacao one would expect to be able to have a decent hot chocolate: Not the case! While coffee was good, in the menu there was only 1 item with chocolate: "chocolate calliente" or hot chocolate. It was served in an average size cup. In fact it was poured at... More

We've had a few different chocolates from here and are bringing back the organic chocolate bars as our souvenirs this trip, $5 each. Original Chocolatier in Fortuna. Great staff, huge selection. Can't wait to go again for ice cream later today!

So this small storefront sells pricey chocolate with a variety of unique flavorful fillings. Also sell ice cream, coffee and light fare. It is pricey but so is every other place tourists frequent in this city.

This place has delicious chocolate, some of the best I have ever had. It is definitely more expensive, so just be prepared for that. We just tried a few smaller things, but the owner was super nice and we enjoyed the time we spent here.

For an early afternoon stop, we had lunch (great sandwich with banana chips) and desert (very chocolaty cake) with fantastic coffee. Nice location is a bit away from the busy city center and the service was good.

I didn't try the chocolate, which is obviously what they are known for, but I did have ice cream. They have some very unique flavors. I enjoyed fig ice cream. They did have a great selection of chocolates though, and for every occasion, as well as chocolate bars with wrappers showing some of the wildlife of Costa Rica, which would... More

We came to this place after lunch, the have variety of cakes, chocolates and cookies, all looks so good so you don't know what to choose. Eventually we took iced cappuccino, espresso with chocolate and cafe cake (the milkshake looks very good too), all were very rich flavoured and delicious. If you love chocolate or you are in a mood... More
