Have been here twice so far and planning to go back again! My husband and I just got two take out dinners for $8. (4,000 colones). Nice portions and very tasty. I had Breaded Tilapia and my husband had fried chicken, fried plantains (yum), and a light salad with cucumber and tomato. When we were there he first time, my... More

Stopped there after our atv guide recommended it and the empanadas were amazing!! Cafeteria style food, and the lady at the front was so sweet! Made us feel right at home.

This place was suggested by our AirBnB host. - Food is made already and kept warm cafeteria style so it was perfect for quick bites. - Price was $6-7 USD per dish, 1 meat, 3 sides (beans, rice, salad) - No doors so its literally open 24 hours We had it 3 times for breakfast, lunch, dinner because we had... Very traditional dishes cafeteria style on a side street. Very authentic. Great for breakfast. Get to know real Costa Rican food.

We needed a quick lunch on the way to a tour and found it at this cafeteria. The staff was very nice about our lack of Spanish and patiently interpreted our gestures.

We stopped of at this small eatery during our tour of the Volcanos. We wanted to sample a true Costa Rica meal - not just the gourmet food in the hotels... It was wonderful food and very tasty. When the food is prepared in front of you if just taste better... We really enjoyed our time here.

We requested trail sandwiches to take out with us on a hike. She made ham and cheese on a french roll with all the typical sandwich toppings and packed them up to go. The sandwiches were good enough, nothing to write home about, but certainly good enough for the trail. The price was right and I would go back again.

We ate at this restaurant 2 times while visiting La Fortuna. The food was better the first time so there seems to be variation in the quality. The price was great at $6 USD for a typical meal- rice, beans, salad, protein, and a drink.

Meals are all about $5. Awesome food, I love the hamburger especial! I paid in dollars, and the woman working gave me my colones change in the current exchange rate, which I loved!

This humble restaurant has very fresh and delicious food! Behind the case is a selection of perfectly cooked meats, vegetables, fresh salad...everything tasty and tipico. I had the cooked Yucca, beef ribs (tender and perfect) and salad. Everything was delicious. I have to tell you the caveat though. There is a hustling little man in there skinny, who went by... More
