The kitchen manager didn't change the fries for salad because they are not flexible with changing the plates they serve. We were there for a trail running race and we didn't want to eat fries, so we had to order the plate without fries, but they didn't want to replace them for salad!

Had great coffee and pancakes here (nice break from gallo pinto) before heading out to the La Fortuna waterfall. Always give yourself enough time to sit and relax while enjoying breakfast. Everything is a little slower (service wise) in costa rica.

Being a coffee snob that was from Seattle (originally), I always seek out a place that can make a good cup of joe ! This place fills the bill. They also make great burritos and tacos. Price was very reasonable in a town that can seem to overcharge us touristas ! We also bought a bag of their blend to... More

This place was opposite our hotel (Las Colinas) and had an early start so a quick breakfast here was needed. Great coffee and omlettes. No problem for my friends who went off menu and asked for an additional avocado with her eggs. Quick and efficient. It always busy which is a good sign. Extensive menu with both traditional breakfast on... More

This is a small local restaurant with great food and amazing coffee. The french toast is so delicious as was the burrito my husband ordered. The coffee was delicious as well.

Stopped in for coffee and cake in mid afternoon. The place wasn't crowded but the service was very slow. The coffee was watery (in Costa Rica) and the cake dry. There are lots other similar places to try.

We saw this place while walking around the town square. The name made us laugh so to the cheesy American chain restaurant so we tried it on a lark. It is a casual backpacker type spot. Very reasonable prices for great food. I had veggie nachos. My friend had a giant steak and loved it. We had a passion fruit... More

Had a good lunch here after a long drive up from San Jose. Had a plate with chicken, rice, beans, plantains and a cold fresh drink. Service was friendly and the price was reasonable. I would recommend for a casual meal!

We love everything we tried at the Rain Forest. Good food, good portion and fair price. Their slides of cakes are huge (so it will be good to share). Try their homemade hot sauce, it is pretty delicious. Service is also good. We will come back here to eat if we ever go back to La Fortuna.
