This Soda was recommended by our tour guide on our recent visit to Costa Rica. Off the beaten track in downtown LaFortuna, but worth the search. We ordered casado, with chicken and a smoothe. Really enjoyed the whole experience, atmosphere and food.

Muchas gracias 🥰 After a day of hiking in the mountains my husband and I are hungry. At Soda La Tia had many trucks parked in front, always a good sign exactly. Delicious food and more. Then when we left my car didn’t work but no problem because Jeremy (our waiter) helped me! We recommend this place - 5 stars! Thank you very muchMore
The worst coffee and really bad Gallo pinto!!! Went this morning and the place look bad! Not enough light and strange smell.
One morning we were passing by and decided to stop and try this place. We were so pleased with the food and service that we went back for the next couple of days. There's nothing fancy about this place, it's just a local spot with...good service and delicious food. There's always parking right in front of the restaurant. This a place where the locals go and eat so it's always busy. Will come back!More
The place was recommended to us by one of our Uber drivers. It’s very reasonably priced. Menu offered a big selection of traditional Costa Rican dishes and fresh fruit smoothies. Portions are huge and tasty. The place got packed very quickly, so it was a...good thing we got there slightly before the lunch rush.More
Soda La Hormiga is a quaint, Costarician restaurant located on Avenue 325 cose to the bus terminal. Excellent fish tacos! The three of us enjoyed eating there very much. Friendly staff.
Most importantly - locals eat there !!! Had Brunch. Convenient and spacious parking on an otherwise busy road. Short wait time Staff were very attentive and ordering was fast. Food was delicious, would rate is 4 out of 5 Overall, would highly recommend it
We had about 5-10 minutes to eat, and the hostess sat us down quickly and got the food to us in the allotted time. It was great!
One of our tour guides recommended this soda and it was so great we went back a second time! It is definitely a local place and that is what makes it so great. Amazing food and very inexpensive. I highly recommend the casado con chuleta...(pork chop) and the casado with the chicken stew. Both were amazing!More
One of the best and the most inexpensive place to eat. We hav been to many spades and this was best. Highly recommended. The food was delicious.
We visited 3 times for Bfast while there a week. Food great, prices great, service good. For a party of 8 they were very quick.
This soda was recommended to us by a few locals and it was everything they said it would be. Tucked away off a side street with a very casual feel, the menu is varied and everything is extremely reasonably priced. You really can’t go wrong...with the food choices here and it feels very local and authentic. Would highly recommend for lunch!More
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Great for families and people of all ages. Family atmosphere.
Good food and great atmosphere. Kids ordered chicken fingers and fries and parents ordered traditional Costa Rican Cosada. Reasonable prices. Clean washrooms. Paid with credit card.
Well priced Soda with outside seating. Limited vegetarian options but for a filling local breakfast it is great. We visited a couple of times to fill up before hiking and I'd recommend it as a great cheap option in La Fortuna.
