4th visit to Tuscaloosa, and 3rd visit to DePalma's. Best restaurant in town. Beautiful atmosphere, great location and wonderful food. There is always a wait. But it's worth it. Hope to go back again and again.

We tried this spot because of all the positive trip advisor reviews. They don't take reservations and the wait lines are long on Alabama home football weekends...60-90 minutes all evening. However, well worth the wait. The food tasted fresh. Even though it was tight and many customers waiting outside, we never felt rushed. When we're in town, we will definitely... More

Third time here. Food was excellent. Service was too. Prices very fair. We had to wait which was expected and it was worth it. Only wish wad that I had room for dessert!

The whole ambiance, food and service at DePalma's is the reason why it's so busy. There's little point reading this unless you get there before 5:30pm or you are prepared to wait a long time. It always seems to be busy! My best recommendation is to eat at the bar, especially as the dining room can get a bit smoky... More

Friday 6PM met the kids for dinner. The wait was 45 minutes. Normal for a table at one of the finest restaurants in Tuscaloosa. Sat at the bar and caught up over a glass of wine. Dinner was fabulous with a bottle of Michele Charlo Barbera D'Asti. Split the 2 orders of stuffed mushrooms. Yellow fin tuna was the special... More

DePalma's is located downtown and is a quaint Italian restaurant. Lunch is more causal. Dinner has a more special vibe and doesn't disappoint. Variety of food from salad/pizza/pasta/sandwiches.

Lived in Tuscaloosa for six years, still our favorite date place. Never a bad meal or service. It's a small place so be prepared to wait, it's part of the charm.

Great atmosphere. Loved the wine list. Had a hard time deciding what to order because everything looked delicious. Ended up with the ravioli stuffed portabella mushrooms in a brown butter sauce. So good that I am craving that dish now. Server highly recommended the bread pudding for dessert. Being from New Orleans, I was skeptical. Ordered anyway. It was good,... More

I first came here back in college. That was a while back, but revisited last year. Quality has not wavered, and even when full, servers are keen. Go for the House Salad and the Gorgonzola Filet if you're big on beef like me! They don't take reservations so do come a little early. Not a wine drinker but friends comment... More
