This was a first visit for me. We were visiting with a large group of friends. Our drinks and appetizers arrived very quickly and they were good. I am a huge fan of shrimp and grits and was a bit disappointed with my order. The shrimp were over cooked and needed way more spice. Overall the service was great and... More

I rate as average the food because the menu never seems to change much and if you have been a regular customer can be a bit boring in light of the many new and fancy restaurants available in Tuscaloosa now. If you want to enjoy afternoon drinks with friends or watch a beautiful sunset or the boats go by then... More

I love Cypress Inn. It's been around for some time, a lot of locals love eating there. Definitely make reservations! Great place for business meetings and/or a romantic dinner. Cypress Inn sits on the Black Warrior River off of Rice Mine Road. It's on the Northport side of the river. Their fried green tomatoes are a must, and their hot... More

I used to be a regular at the Cypress Inn and after being out of state for two years, I was surprised to notice so many disappointing changes in the restaurant. The outer steps leading up to the restaurant have been repaired and don't even match, anymore. The tables are dented and chipped. One time when we ordered our meal,... More

There is no denying that the restaurant is in a beautiful location and I would plan on taking in the view and walking among the river outside the restaurant. There is outside seating when weather permits. The food is flavorful however the fried foods are very heavily coated and that was just too much for us. The staff was very... More

Beautiful venue, excellent staff & amazing food; 5-Stars from me for sure! I even use the Cypress Inn takeout service. They bring the takeout order right to the car.

Being a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa the amount of new restaurants in the last few years has been amazing. People are eating out & take out more than they would like to admit! We have so much to choose from and I have enjoyed the ride. Some good, some Just haven't lived up to the hype but Cypress Inn always does.... More

We went for dinner. Very quick service since it was a week night. Had the smoked chicken and it was very good. A little pricey but you're paying for the view!

Probably the thing I love most is the views of the river. But the food is reliably good, as well. They make the best shrimp & grits in town, in my opinion. The fried catfish is good, too. I've never had a meal that was bad. The service is pretty reliably efficient -- for the most part. There was one... More

I have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. They offer a lunch menu but their regular menu can be ordered anytime also. I highly recommend their shrimp and grits which also contains Andouille sausage. The grits are the creamiest I've ever eaten and everyone at my table wished they had ordered them after tasting mine. Their fried shrimp... More
