When I visit towns I love to eat in local places. This place fits the bill. Very good breakfast. It is in an old home they made into a restaurant obviously a very long time ago. The food is very southern and delish!

The bad first. We sat at a table poorly located right at swinging door to restrooms. The smell was horrible. I don't know the solution but no one should have to smell that and try to eat. It was very busy but waiter was friendly....More

Although the food was good, the service good and the staff friendly, the restrooms were filthy nasty! Don’t go in them🤬

You can never go wrong here. The food is consistently very good, friendly service, plenty of parking in the back. Crowded, busy and a bit of a wait on weekends but worth it. THE place for breakfast in Tuscaloosa.

It’s old school and for that gets high marks. The wait staff seems to have worked there forever and that’s cool. The breakfast is traditional southern like your momma used to make. Love it.

My wife and I recently had lunch here on our way through town. We were feeling nostalgic about the breakfasts and other meals we ate there 50 years ago, while students. I think the prices must be relatively higher now, because I doubt we could...More

Busy place but good food. Don't let the appearance fool you. One of the best local breakfasts. Only place you can see a wait for breakfast. And it is worth it!

Great breakfast. Try the potato skins to start. The red eye gravy is good on the grits and biscuits. Don’t forget the honey that’s on the table.

I reviewed this restaurant last year. It is one of the reasons I love to return to Tuscaloosa. Everything delivered hot and fresh. Top quality ingredients used. Atmosphere pure Crimson Tide. Waitstaff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. Glad to see the greatness maintained. Complimentary...More
