I grew up with 'Nicks in The Sticks' (what us locals call it.) I'm a vegetarian, and yet I still eat there. I get a grilled cheese with hot sauce, a baked potato with fixings, and of course their salads. Their salads are so simple yet for some reason, they are delicious! Their salad dressings are the BEST. It's a... More

Left before end of football scrimmage and drove here. Information here says it opened at 5 but was open when we got there around 4:50. My wife and I ordered the large filets with onion rings and French fries. The salads were really simple and the dressing good. This place is outstanding and the atmosphere was a little funky but... I haven't been back to Nick's for over 30 years! Still the same delicious food, great salad dressings, and good memories...if you ever visited Nick's as a student long ago, visit again...still the same...but bring your patience! Wait times are long!

This is a tiny place (10-12 tables), so try to come in the off-peak hours or be ready to wait. During our almost 60-minute wait, we enjoyed $2 drinks ($2!) and hung out on the patio by the heaters. I got the filet, the others got the larger steak. All were delicious! It's out of the way, but it is... More

Heard about this place from friends and finally got a chance to try it. The steaks and house dressing was like I had been told, very good but the onion rings were the best I ever had. Saw and smelled the fried chicken on its way to another table and I will get that next time.

This place is exactly as I remember from 20 years ago or more. Well maybe it is actually a little cleaner. Anyway this place is awesome! Small and informal, but great steaks and drinks!!! Everyone in our party ate steak, so I cannot talk about anything else. The T-bone, and all three filets were all great. Plates could have been... More

I've been told this is a great place for steak and I was not disappointed! Cooked to perfection. Definitely one of those places you should go for the experience!

This is most definitely a "dive" Restaurant, so don't come on a first date. Lol. But this is a regular stop for me and my husband and all the locals I've ever known. Even my parents have come here forever and love this place. It's a good steak dinner at a great price. Gets crowded on game weekends or weekends... More

This place is a dump. The food really, really sucks. The service is below average. The folks are real nice. But the Emperor has no clothes. Don't waste your time.

Being new to Tuscaloosa, everyone I work with told me to try this place and I wasn't disappointed. My steak was huge and cooked rare, just the way I ordered it. Of course I tried their signature drink and it was perfection. I had a blast and will definitely be back.
