I first ate here in 1977 while in college and except for the addition of the front porch area, nothing has changed. Start your meal with the onion rings and Nicodemus and follow it up with a great steak. If you are looking for white table cloth fine dinning, this is not your spot. But if you are looking for... Every time I came back here, it makes me feel like I'm back home! The Nicodemus and filet is an award winning combo every time. Great steak, fun atmosphere, and great drinks what more could you want!

Nick's Filet House is known for their filets so that's what we order every time we go. They are wrapped with bacon and cooked to order. The salads are mostly iceberg lettuce with a tomato and the dressing is still served in the 3 choice server used for many years. The baked potatoes are very good. And the store bought... More

Nick's (in the sticks) is still awesome after about 40 years. We frequented it while in college, and even now, there is sometimes a two hours wait to get in. Seats 40 people, so my advice is to get there early... the guys will seat you even 30 minutes before they "OPEN" and you can place you Nickademus order for... More

Went with family on a Friday for dinner. Go Early! Like 5pm when they open the doors or you will wait. ( That's fine if you want to sit outside on the patio with a drink and a few friends) but the place fills up. They are famous for the bacon wrapped filet. It's very tasty wrapped in bacon. They... Please don't go to Nick's expecting fine dining. If you go expecting a good meal at a reasonable price, in a funky, dive setting...Nick's in the Sticks will not disappoint. Meals come with a salad, lettuce only and 3 choices for dressing on the side, family style. The steaks are good, but the star of our experience was the onion... More

We waited over an hour for a table for 5. The trick is to only have 2 people in your party, I have determined. it is not big on ambiance, but the food was very good, my family loved their steaks, I had the shrimp which was also good. service was great. don't wait for your check, go up to... More

Nick's in the sticks is its local name and it is definitely in the sticks. I was with a couple of friends one of which was a UA grad. He recommended this place. The dining room is very small and there were several people waiting when we arrived. There was a gentleman keeping a very efficient waiting list, He took... More

I was looking forward to the Famous Filet at Nick’s Original Filet (It is part of their name – although locals call it “Nick’s in the Sticks”, if you have been you understand why). It’s a Great local dive, been around since 1935, with Very friendly staff that successfully went out of the way to appease the 3 year old... More

Our group of 10 had dinner here. The place is small so we were lucky to be seated as we got there. We all ordered steaks but nibbled on deep fried gizzard which were very very chewy and deep fried liver which I passed on. There is a small assortment of spirits and some beer to choose from. The steaks... More
