My husband and I ate recently at Five Bar in Tuscaloosa, AL. The meal was delicious! I had Blackened Grouper and my husband ate Blackened Red Snapper. Both were scrumptious! Before our meal, we had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and it was fabulous, our salads were delicious, too! I would definitely recommend! PS Our waitress was very helpful, friendly... More

Yes, interesting name mean just that. I'm slow but it took me a few times to realize the 5 choices rotate! So my last Thursday's to die for red snapper wouldn't be there on Wednesday night. But the burgers are always a sure bet.

Excellent food, professional and courteous staff. The atmosphere is very cool. The only issue is the parking is limited right now, due to construction but we'll be back!!!

A small chain with a simple concept. The food was standard fare for Five. I miss the Deviled Eggs other locations have. I opted for a burger since it is hard to mess that up and a local beer. Both were good, but won't have me beating the door down to return.

If you are downtown and want to veer away from the fast food and standard fare, go to Five. They also offer a great coffee bar with smoothies and teas. Five is very popular for its Sunday brunch, so go early and be prepared to wait on a table.

We went for a dinner. Five is named that way because they have 5 entrees. Fried chicken, surf and turf, a seafood medley and a couple other things. For anyone with an allergy or intolerance this is not enough. And their approach to deal with allergies is to remove things like risotto and toppings and sauces. So I had a... More

Loud, lively atmosphere with indoor/outdoor/bar seating. Limited menu, but you're sure to find something you'll like. The cheeseburger is amazing, as well as the paneed chicken, fried chicken, and all the appetizers. Nice cocktail menu and consistently good service.

Tuscaloosa is a quiet place when school is out. It allowed for an easy driving tour of the campus and parking. The clerk at the hotel recommended 5, and not seeing much else, we went. Nice old building, and nice wine selection.
