This is the sister restaurant to Ruan Thai. If we don't finish our business in time for lunch at Ruan Thai, we eat here. More Americanized and caters more to college students than Ruan Thai but still very very good.

The Asian Chicken is the best. We last went during the Christmas holidays with the family and had a great experience.

We had a tasty meal with our family. The entrees offered a good amount of food and were delicious. The service was a little less attentive than we like, but my daughter who attends UA assures us that was an isolated case. We had a memorable experience and plan to go back.

Very good food and service. It's on UA strip but suits mature palette. Authentic flavor, fresh food and fabulous bar... elite bartender. Fun dinner.

A rather eclectic blend of Thai food and sushi. We had the Pad Thai (called "Thai noodles"), Masaman curry, egg rolls and crab wontons. The egg rolls were an interesting blend of fried rice paper (like Vietnamese rolls) with cabbage filling (like Chinese). The masaman was outstanding, while the pad thai was good, if not all that spectacular.

Surin has some of the best Thai food I have had anywhere. I have eaten there many times and I live 800 miles away. Great place for a group-all of the food is fresh and everyone we have taken loves it. I am a foodie and this is a great spot. They are known for a late night Sushi Happy... More

The place serves a variety of Asian food. The Thai cooking was excellent despite the lack of Asian-looking cooks. I recommend the Basil Roll for appetizer. Yellow curry with chicken was excellent, although it could be more spicy. Coconut ice-cream was hard like a rock; it became a struggle to eat it. Service was excellent; and the price was reasonable.

Who would guess that a fine Thai restaurant would be found in Alabama? This large restaurant was packed on a Saturday night when we stoipped by. The seating was quick and the outstanding service started at once. We had one question which was patienlty explained. There was no feeling of being in a hurry with us, even duirng the rush... More

May be the best chicken teriyaki I've ever had. Fried rice was perfect - not too greasy. California crunch sushi was very good, too. I had not been to Surin for a year or two, and only go about once a year at most. It was much better than last time. Two people had a good dinner for $30 including... More
