We came here for breakfast and arrived a bit before 10:30. The hostess let us pick our table in the non-smoking section. (I can’t believe restaurants in this country still allow smoking.) The waitress came over and took our drink order. When she came by...a minute or so after 10:30, she said they stopped serving breakfast in a very rude tone. We took our coffee to go (pretty nasty by the way) and left.More

A rather self-entitled, pompous review. Yes, we allow smoking, in a separate room with its own HVAC system, so enough of your "how dare all restaurants not follow my desires regarding smoking" diatribe. You arrived at 10:37, not a bit before 10:30 as you stated,...More

After calling the day before making sure the restaurant was open, we arrived about 5 pm. We were rudely greeted by the hostess who pointed to a table and told us to sit there. No one escorted us to the table, so we were unsure...where to sit, so we guessed. After sitting for almost 10 minutes, we saw at least five waitresses with none of them serving us. After us motioning for someone, we finally put our order in. We were never given rolls or cornbread as we saw other tables were. We ordered the customer’s favorite burger, and the “12 hour” savory roast beef. After reassuring with a separate waitress that our order was put in, we received our food in about 10-15 minutes. The hamburger was cooked well and was fresh. The roast beef however, was cold, with no gravy. Honestly, it looked like it was left overs and was just heated up. After trying to eat it, we asked to waitress to take it back. All she did was take it and heat it up again. And she proceeded to tell us that the roast beef doesn’t come with gravy. After discussing with again a separate waitress the awful roast beef, she assured us that they would not make us pay for that meal. Upon leaving, we spoke to the manager who, became angry when asked if he knew what was going on in the kitchen. We told him the roast beef was really bad, and stated that he did not know what was going on in the kitchen. We said to him as a manager you should know what was going on in the kitchen. We couldn’t understand why a restaurant would serve awful roast beef. And then the manager got angry and started yelling. All we wanted was the ticket to pay and leave, but they refused to give us our check. The hostess actually told us to wait until she was ready to give it to us. We left. They followed us out and said we needed to pay the check. We came back in, looked at the ticket, and they were going to make us pay for the roast beef meal after telling us they would take it off. Finally, they took the meal off, we paid and left. To say we will never go back is an understatement. So much unprofessionalism. So rude, and the food was not good.More

Everytime we travel home to New Orleans we see the sign for this restaurant. Stopped at Rouse's & decided to check them out on the way back from a Thanksgiving visit. I loves me some fried catfish & they didn't disappoint. 2 huge golden fried...fillets w/ mashed potatoes & omg the best homemade gravy I've ever tasted. Even picky mom loved her burger & fries. Wish I'd gotten a whole Peanut Butter Pie. Worth the venture off the beaten path. Will definitely stop in again when I go home. Simple tasteful decorations w/top notch customer service. First restaurant I've seen in a while that offered a smoking side.More

Great find!!!! We had a great meal and throughly enjoyed the entire experience...it sure was some real good southern cooking!!! My wife had the fried shrimp with a side salad and fried okra. I had the hamburger steak with a side salad and mashed potatoes....Everything was excellent. We shared a piece of the Paradise Pie.....yum!!! With one beer included, our total bill was $32 and some change. As an aside, they have a Monday night special of two steaks (a t-bone and/or a ribeye) with two sides for $32!!! In fact, we enjoyed it so much we’ll probably stop for breakfast on our return trip on Friday!!!!More

I have been eating at Time to eat for years with no complaints. The last two visits were horrible, poor service, cold food and a random hair in my crawfish pie. Caution, enter at your own risk.

We were headed out for a girls trip to Georgia and this was our first stop on the trip for breakfast. Found it on yelp and decided to give it a try. We had a good time looking at all the clocks and it “killed...time” waiting on our breakfast which didn’t take long at all. Everything was delicious! The potatoes are seasoned perfectly. I ordered toast and it was huge pieces of Texas toast. Service was spot on and she kept up with our group and all the requests like a pro. There wasn’t anyone that we encountered in the restaurant that wasn’t extremely friendly. We will definitely be back. Sarah and Jessica were great!More

The food was terrible. The waitress was scattered brained. The owner is condescending and arrogant. Will never return there. Nothing about this location in methville is safe. It reeks of stale cigarettes and body odor. The food window is where the smoking section is. Food...was bland and terrible.More

My husband and I came here for breakfast on our way to Bellingrath and it was great. We both had omelets with bacon and cheese. They had lots of bacon were very tasty and home fries were very flavorful as well. It came with warm...biscuits which were awesome. Just an Fyi that they only serve breakfast until 10:30. The restaurant is in a strip mall and don't let appearance stop you from eating here. When you go inside doesn't look like much but they have two rooms one smoking and one non smoking. We don't smoke and non smoking room doesn't smell like smoke. Prices are great also. Must try.More
