My wife and I stopped in Mobile to visit some relatives and they suggested we meet at Ed's Seafood Shed for lunch. We had a great meal, great service and really enjoyed ourselves. The place has some great old photos and is neat to look around prior to dining. I had oysters and shrimp, my wife had oysters and my... More
My family loved this restaurant! The food and atmosphere was awesome. We shared the fried okra, sautéed shrimp, scallops and crab claws, raw oysters, and popcorn shrimp! The food was fantastic and even my 7 and 10 year olds raved about it. My son loved the coleslaw.
Stopped by while driving on the Causeway between Mobile and the Eastern Shore. Was nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the weather without the direct heat of the sun. Great service, great fish and really good coleslaw. I enjoyed the grilled scallops and the server was really attentive to our refills. The place has a great atmosphere and the... More
Tried the local oysters and was pleasantly surprised. Great salty taste and discovered they were actually farm raised! Also had some of the local shrimp which were delicious. God Bless those local shrimpers!
Great views, great seafood, great service. They even have great music on the weekends. We have enjoyed Ed's for special occasions over the years. This was a birthday dinner. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, crab bisque, soft shelled po'boy, crab cake sandwich, and the grilled shrimp sandwich. The biggest problem with eating here is you never leave room for... More
Enjoy the sunset over the water with a cold beer and a dozen oysters on the half shell. I don't believe I've had better oysters. Certainly not in recent memory. This is a friendly family-type establishment with lots of local history.
Loved this one. I wondered about the slaw and saltines they started me with. Soooooo good!! I had catch of the day which was very good. The turnips were really good, too. The sunset view was wonderful. Service very good!
