My wife and I visited this restaurant during a one day stay in Mobile. The food here is soooo good. We both had shrimp po boys sandwiches, fries and red beans & rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. I was very, very impressed. The shrimp, french bread and fries were all crisp and flawless. The red beans and rice were... More

Consistently the best seafood place to go. This is my favorite restaurant for seafood! The dining experience is enjoyable with lots of food options, and I have never had a negative experience!

I had the Grilled Cheese with Gumbo with the salad bar. Was suppose to come with shrimp, which I didn't see, until it was pointed out it was IN the sandwich. Was pleasantly surprised at the flavor! And that was some of the best gumbo I've had, but the rice was crunchy, hence the 4 star rating. Salad bar was... More

My husband and I had dinner at The Original Oyster House and we had as much food left as was eaten. The portions are large. We ordered an appetizer, had salads, and each had the stuffed shrimp. The food was good but we miss the steamed options that were offered in the past.

Decided to try the Oyster House last minute on a Saturday evening because reservations are not required. Upon our arrival we were able to find two chairs at the bar so our wait time was minimal. Fired oysters were excellent as was the shrimp and grits. I would not recommend the pecan breaded whitefish as the breading was quite thick... More

Nice lunch menu. Pretty affordable and nice balance of fried and grilled options. We ordered one lunch item and a regular menu item. The Bodreauxs dish was whiting with ya-ya sauce. It came with a side of cole slaw and I ordered greens. I requested light blackening and sauce on the side and it was perfectly presented. The ya-ya sauce... More

Nice restaurant. We go mainly for the chargrilled oysters which are great. Whitefish was very good. Gumbo not great. Waitstaff was very friendly. Great place for a family.
