We have enjoyed Acadiana for several years. We dine there at least twice weekly. If friends from out of town are coming, they always want to go back there. They maintain a steady workforce and everyone who works there seems to enjoy what they are doing.Always consistent!

I had high expectations, based on reviews. They didn't disappoint. Service was outstanding. Crawfish Etouffee was excellent. I look forward to my next visit.

We've eaten here regularly, mainly Friday nights, for years and have never had a bad experience, with the food, service, and especially value. Their menu sufficiently covers seafood dishes, with shrimp, crab, fish (grouper, flounder, mahi, snapper, cat fish, etc) prepared blackened, grilled, or fried...and complimanted with several toppings if desired. The Boudin Balls appetizer (spoken from a non-fan of boudin) is a table favorite. Even their selection of pasture fare is commendable, with care taken to assure it arrives as you like it. The hardest job the waitstaff has is selling you on dessert, since the portions are large and you will eat until it hurts. To-go desserts are nice. Speaking of the waitstaff they are first class right down to the bussers, who all seem to really love working here. Finally, kind of like waiting for dessert, it is BYOB, which can include a small ice chest for white wine or the beer of your choice. Wine glasses and a cork screw as well as cold mugs are provided. No corkage fee. Reservations are preferred if your party is 5 or more.More

My husband and I are currently trying to work our way through the “100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama” by the Alabama Tourism Department, and Café Acadiana’s Crab Cake Pontchartrain is on the list. We ordered it as an appetizer to share, and OMG it...was so good that I’m going to order the entrée portion next time. The crab cake by itself would've been wonderful - so much crab meat and perfectly seasoned, but the shrimp and crawfish cream sauce that it’s topped with is to die for! For my entree I ordered the fried shrimp with onion rings and my husband ordered the fried crawfish and flounder with onion rings, and everything was delicious! Our server was super friendly and made sure our drinks stayed filled. This was our first time here, but definitely won’t be our last! We had just spent the week at the beach, and of all the seafood places we ate, Café Acadiana was our favorite.More

We stay at a nearby RV park in the winter. Near high noon this place is usually full of businessmen and other local workmen. Last time I had Chicken Opelousas ( excellent) and the op had Catfish Orleans ( also very good). when we arrived...at a little after 1PM it was still busy but thinning out. By the time we left at 2PM+ we were the last in the lot. I will say you can count on this food, in a rural country venue, for a pleasant lunchtime experience. Prices are reasonable & staff friendly. Everything was clean and the air quality was good. During busy times it can get a little noisy.More

Definitely stop here on your way through Silver Hill. Excellent food, great friendly service. Shrimp and okra gumbo was great. My husband had the chicken tenders and those were excellent too.

Down home folks serving authentic Cajun food. Nothing fancy here, just good eats at a good price with friendly folks. My wife and I lived in the Gulf Coast area while in the military and know Cajun/Creole food. I measure every place by the etouffee,...the crawfish tails were small but there were at least four in every bite and the flavor was spot on. My father in law had never had Cajun food and really wanted to try crawfish pie. He got the crawfish platter, some of everything and loved every bite. I had the crawfish 1/2 and 1/2 etouffee and fried tails. The tails were tender with just the right amount of coating. If you want white linen, snooty staff small portions and high prices, go somewhere else, because all you will get here is great food and great folks who make you feel at home.More

What a nice little cafe. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of Cajun foods, but also hamburgers and pie. My fries were a little cold, but still good. Would eat here again. Closed on Sunday and Mondays.

We avoided this place as neither one of us thought we cared for this type of food! Finally our dog setter talked us into going for lunch. We did and have kicked ourselves ever since. This is some of the best food we've ever eaten....The place is small and packed, but even so the owner/chef took time out to sit with us and ask about our meal. He then explained his type of cajun/creole food and where it came from....they should name this town after him! It's been weeks and in my mind and can still taste his food!More

When we drive from Memphis to Daphne to visit, we always make a trip to Silverhill to eat at our favorite restaurant, Cafe Acadiana. The food there never disappoints. The seafood is fresh and prepared with attention to detail. Today our server was Nikki and...our service was amazing. We ordered the lunchtime special of catfish and shrimp. This comes with a side and a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar has a wide range of offerings and the foods are fresh and inviting. This restaurant is packed at lunch time with locals, which is always a good sign of quality food. We will be back.More

Eighteen of our neighborhood group had dinner tonight. The service was amazing and the food excellent! A wonderful atmosphere for a group of many or a few. The chef came out to see how we were enjoying the food. Only in a place as great...as this is that kind of attention provided. Thank you Cafe Acadiana for a fantastic evening we will be back.More

Have made a review before but wanted to add another one. We have been eating here for several years. My daughters are now grown, and in grad school, and one is in the midst of planning to get married. Of all the places she considered...to cater the wedding it came down to Cafe Acadiana hands down. We are very happy that she can have the wedding catered by Cafe Acadiana. There are lots of caterers available but to have the fine food prepared by these folks is a blessing. Whether you're looking for a good meal or feeding a crowd, you can't go wrong with Cafe Acadiana.More
