Food and staff are fantastic. Chips are always fresh. I love that they are thin and the salsa always has the right amount of heat. Yummy grilled chicken soft tacos and cold beer. The staff, from the owner, waitress to cashier are the friendliest around. Service is great even when they have a full house.

The drinks were weak. The service was slow. Valley Grande Mexican Restaurant's drinks are better and the waiters are friendlier

This restaurant has good food, plentiful portions, an inexpensive lunch menu, and fast and attentive service. Its downtown location means that it is convenient to historic sights such as the Edmund Pettus Bridge, the Selma Interpretive Center operated by the National Park Service, and the Water Avenue Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Do note the... More

We really enjoyed both the food and service at El Ranchero. The menu has many choices and the restaurant is right downtown - excellent location. Don't skip the desserts, which we found to freshly made and delicious! This will definitely be a repeat spot when I travel to Selma.

This was one of the first Mexican restaurants to show up in a smaller town around these parts. I have always had good food and fast, friendly service. The Steak Fajita Quesadilla is always my go to dish!!

I am not from the South and I love Mexican food. This restaurant is a pleasant surprise in a small town, a nice place to eat with decent prices, good service, and the food, although nothing spectacular, is tasty with very filling portions.

I love this place. It's close to where I work so it's very convenient. The food is great and portions are substantial. There aren't a lot of choices in downtown Selma but this is definitely a must try place!

I had tostados and they were great! Salsa was mild at best..tamales were kinda weird because they put some sort of red sauce on it
