The Nest gastrolounge -our dishes are to be shared, the cocktails are sipped Muse has collaborated with Bacardi to develop The Nest, featuring Grey Goose -the French luxury vodka. The Nest is a gastrolounge -a cocktail lounge with a full kitchen, offering hand-crafted drinks and dishes in a 'sharing' style. The atmosphere is contemporary and stylish, but relaxed, where you will feel like you're in your own cool living room, with a variety of seating styles -mostly cozy sofa and arm-chair, but also bar-type seating and regular dining tables. The ambience builds through the evening, and then 'chills' later, but always allows for conversation and discovery. Our lounges are built around a showcase

My girlfriend and I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. We were blown away. Needless to say, the food was incredible (oysters, halibut and sea bass with spinach, mashed potatoes and fries as sides), the whole vibe of the...restaurant was great. The bar serves as a beautiful center piece and the art above the bar looks lovely as well. A small hiccup was that the fries came way before the main course, but the head waiter gave us some new ones that came with the food. The presentation of the food was impeccable with a strong Scandinavian vibe shining through. The portions were much bigger than expected and the overall quality was second to none. We took it upon ourselves to thank the chef and were kindly offered some homemade ice cream. We declined, but the easier insisted and brought it anyways. Of course we finished this as well, heading home happy, full and completely satisfied. We will be back.More

Poor service. Chef cannot get the timing of the food in sync. 1 dish arrives at time; if at all. Food was cold. Even the replacements for the sweet potatoes were soggy and cold. Pricing was okay. I guess vaping in this restaurant is allowed???...If not, 100% of the staff was complacent.More

A cool place. In the spirit of Shanghai downtown. Close to the Bund. Rooftop bar and restaurant. The view is not the best in Shanghai definitely and prices far too high

The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere we're you sit at low tables in comfortable chairs. Their cocktail manu is unbeatable. Some of the best cocktails I've tasted across Asia. They offer a selection of sharing plates inspired by Nordic food according to their menu. Being...a Norwegian, I can't say I recognize it as true Nordic 😊 Let's say that some of the ingredients are common across the Nordic countries. However, the food is great. We had a bbq squid for starter, and this squid was excellent made. We ate halibut for main. The fish was a little bit overcooked, but taste was great anyway. Overall very good experience, cool atmosphere, and good value.More

We discovered The Nest purely by chance. Sitting on the top floor of a Shanghai downtown building, the restaurant is perfectly designed and the setting really invites guests to relax. The bar is inviting and the selection of cocktails and drinks more than enough to...satisfy even the most demanding drinker. The bartenders are friendly and professional and are careful to get your drinks in a speedy manner. The restaurant proposes à diverse and quite inviting list of dishes. All we took was absolutely perfect and tasty. The overall atmosphere is mundane, relaxed and trendy. The music playlist was fantastic and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. Some guests danced by the bar, which did not seem to bother anyone. The best part though has to do with the outdoor terrace which, while somewhat small, was actually a very welcome treat.More

Myself and my husband came here on a recommendation and instantly loved the atmosphere when we entered. The menu was a bit daunting with a lot of choice and they recommend sharing. The cocktails were an easy choice with a huge selection available. The food,...however, took us a bit longer to decide over. We settled on fish and chips, duck and pickled pumpkin. The fish and chips were delicious, the pumpkin was fine but not overly tasty and the duck was disappointing. Presentation on all dishes was fantastic but I wouldn't be rushing back based on that experience.More

I wouldn't know where to start. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE! Ok, having said that, it's one of my favorites. The ambient is classy, yet trendy and modern. The guests are posh and the music is perfect. Take your time to appreciate the interior design. Sit...on a comfy couch. Start with a cocktail and get impressed. Then go for a second one. The music starts to get louder, very slowly, imperceptibly. Try an entree. Wow. Amazing, right? Do you feel like eating? Feel free, you will not get disappointed. Everything in this place is exceptional. My recommendations: book ahead if visiting on a Friday or Saturday, ask for a couch. It's crowded but full of energy. Perfect for treating your couple or going with friends. I prefer going Sundays or Mondays, it's less crowded and they have an Oyster promotion: one dozen for ¥100.More

This one undoubtedly one of the best places to go in Shanghai when (like us) we had enough of some excellent Chinese food! The service, ambience and quality of the food was outstanding. Highly recommended, especially the Viking sized ribs. We were lucky enough to...be in a large party, so we really had a good chance to sample a wide range of the menu. Every dish was excellentMore

From the welcome complimentary cocktail to really creative and yummy desserts, The Nest made for an excellent evening out with friends. The presentation of dishes was impressive; however, the scallops were a bit bland and lacked a side dish. Overall, though, we would go back...to try more items.More

Came here with friends for a brunch on Saturday. 11:30 it opened and we were the only ones there! Food choice was extensive and all very well prepared. We had the roast lamb, kale Cesar, Clam pasta, Mexican fritters, roast veg and the turbot. Portions...were great and the food was really well prepared. Ambience is lovely and the service attentive. Price is reasonable for Shanghai. Highly recommend this for brunch and the bar for drinks in the evening!More
