Going in a week _end is not recommended as it will be over crowded . Different prices to different levels U wish to go to . Avoid the souvenir shops as they are very expensive . Have your photos taken by their professional photographer , cost US $6 .

This is a mind blowing building! Not only does it look like something from a movie or blade runner! It's a awesome deign! You take the super fast life up to the top and get to see the skyline of Shanghai after which you go lower glass deck - which based on this height will scare the poo out of... More

Highly recommended for night time view plus a chance to eat as well. Our tour guide suppossingly said 11 different sizes of pearls used lol. Admission is quite cheap, starting $160 RMB, about $30 Cdn. Can't get this in Vancouver, right.

Make sure you book on line first! It's the best advice I can give,it gets really crowded, your ink allowed so many in a lift, there's 3 floors, and a revolving restrraunt ,which again you must book,I went to the first floor, which was 66 floors up! It was enough for me!The views are stunning of all Shanghai, there's certainly plenty of buildings to see!And... More

We visited the restaurant to celebrate the birthday of one of our six as well as celebrating Australia Day. Bad start. We arrived for our 5pm reservation. No knowledge of the booking. I rang from Australia a few weeks before to book. Luckily a window table for 6 was found. The weather wasn't perfect but we had a good vista... More

Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu) is a must to visit. Our hotel was nearby so could walk to the tower. Had an amazing meal in the rotating restaurant. The lighting was a little disappointing as some of the lights in the ceiling were not working so a lot of pictures were too dark. We had VIP tickets but that did... More

I spent a long afternoon visiting the Oriental Pearl and the museum on the first floor. I have a couple of very wet and rainy days in Shanghai and visiting the pearl was a good indoor activity option. It's definitely worth paying to get the head set guide which made my visit more informative. There are also great little gift... More

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighborhood Profile
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
