After 5 years of debating with my wife about the price, (yes, it seems expensive) we decided to book for our anniversary, this was the best decision we have ever made. This is so much more than a restaurant, Paul Pairet is truly one of...the greatest chefs, a complete genius, an artist with taste and flavor. The food is out of this world, the room brings it to another dimension and the choreography of the team is next level. The service is led by David, who directs the show inside the room with charm and entertainment and surprises.......my mind was blown! To top it off, the whole table get to enter the kitchen of Paul Pairet at the end and spend time with the genius himself, a real gentleman! Bravo Paul, Greg & David to the most extraordinary evening!More

Probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had. Superb food creatively served with non-stop surprises in terms of the environment. And a real pleasure to meet this talented chef at the end. Don’t have an expectation, just go. It’s absolutely worth the breathtaking price ($$$$$$)...which I didn’t think I would say. But wow. I can’t say more.More

The most incredible dining experience of my life. I have been to more than 20 Michelin 3 starred restaurants, and still nothing stands even close as a dining experience. Alinea and Per Se may have slightly better food, but nothing even close to the experience...of this restaurant. Every course is a delight to the senses, and executed with perfection. Paul Pairet is definitely the best Chef in Shanghai. If you have the opportunity to dine here, do not miss it.More

For not destroying I want reveal anything! My and my wife, arrived from Norway same day, meaning - pretty tired in the evening. We did not notice that at all! Tjhe experience was great - food was "out of this world" atmosphere and staff, completely...beyond!!!More

This was my first visit to Ultraviolet (UV) by Paul Pairet in Shanghai, and I definitely look forward to more visits to UV in the near future! The entire dining experience from the arrival at the rendezvous location to the very end of the evening...when the guests are invited into the kitchen to meet the Chef and the UV staff was magnificent! The superb experience immediately begins immediately when hosts David Steele and Collin Cao greet the guests at Mr. and Mrs. Bund. David and Collin provide the UV guests with the best of the best world-class service that exudes the highest levels of courtesy, professionalism, warmth, friendliness, attentiveness, and responsiveness. The dining experience was amazing and superbly delicious. The visual and auditory stimulation along with the awesome performance by the UV staff played major roles in providing a very unique and exciting experience. And the invitation to the kitchen to meet the Chef and entire staff of UV after dinner was mega!More

I have dined at Ultraviolet by Paul Pairet in Shanghai, China twice. I have also dined several times each at Mr. and Mrs. Bund, Polux, Urasawa, Paul Bocuse, the French Laundry, Providence, and Melisse. All of these restaurants are extraordinary and provide some of the...world’s best dining experiences. Ultraviolet (UV) by Paul Pairet in Shanghai ranks at the top and provides one of the most amazing, satisfying, and exclusive dining experiences ever! Immediately upon arrival at the rendezvous location, host David Steele provides the guests with the most welcoming, courteous, friendly, warm, professional, and elegant service. His world-class level of service consistently continues throughout the entire evening. This is also true of the outstanding quality and level of service provided by the entire UV staff. Being brought to an undisclosed location where UV is located also builds the anticipation of the dining experience. From arrival in the dining room to the end of the evening, the dining experience is truly amazing, delicious, exquisite, satisfying, and exclusive. The visual and auditory stimulation provided during the dining plays a major role in making the experience exciting and novel. My brother and my friend also went with me in my recent visit to UV, and they both were blown away with the amazing experience.More

An absolutely amazing and well-orchestrated fine dining experience on 13 June from arrival at M/M Bund until saying thank you and good night to the UV team. Chef Paul, Chef Greg, David, Collin, and the UV cast hit on every important detail. It’s a lot...to take in, so going back is a must. The themes, visuals, sounds, smells, pairings and food was so well coordinated. And yes, the food and beverages are ultra fantastic! Thank you very much!More

The third of Paul Pairet’s set menus combined with the extraordinary visual / sensory experience that is Ultraviolet. Pre dinner drinks in Mr and Mrs Bund (with a fabulous view across the river to Pudong) and the first of 22 courses is served, then a...short bus ride, and an extraordinary night begins. As with his other menus the night is full of emotion, theatre and surprises - and brilliant matched wines / drinks - it’s an amazing night in one of the worlds best restaurants that is hard to put into words (and actually is best experienced as a total surprise anyway). The evening finished with the table meeting the chef and his team. Make sure you are hungry.More

No - I don't think it would work - the table is in a VR cave and is quite loud at times.

We have enjoyed to menu A ( may 2013) and Menu C. ( april2018)UV 888 is the lucky number. The whole experience is overwelming. Just do it.
